Maybe it was the sex, or maybe it was something else, but I decided then and there that not only would Lil move in with me, but we would always be together the way we were in that moment. I wanted to fuck her forever.

Even if we could never tell anyone else.

ChapterThirty-Five

Lily

Sipping my coffee on the balcony, I smiled as I spoke to my mom. “I’m going to stay until Saturday. I’ll spend today and tomorrow looking for a few apartments, and then going to Cruz’s game Friday.”

“I’m so glad you two are getting along and finally being real siblings. It makes my heart feel so full.”

I cringed as she spoke, but didn’t deny, or say anything. Maybe we weren’t what she thought, but we had definitely grown closer, and if it made her happy, then that was all I cared about.

“I’ll see you—” I took a deep breath as Cruz wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his nose into my neck. “Saturday.”

“Okay sweetheart. Let us know if you need help. We’ll be happy to come down and look at places with you.”

“That’s okay, Mom.” Cruz took his teeth to my skin and nipped his way down to my shoulder. “It’ll be fine.”

She sounded hesitant, like she wanted to hold my hand through finding an apartment, but she sighed and let that pass. “Well Ivan wants me to meet him for lunch. So I’ll call and check in later.”

Rushing my goodbyes, I hung up and set my phone down while turning around in Cruz’s arms. My back was pushed against the railing of the balcony and his lips found mine without any words.

“Good morning to you too,” I laughed when he pulled back a little.

“Never in my life have I dreaded having to go to practice the way I do right now.”

“How long will you be?” I pouted, pushing my lip out.

He leaned in and bit it, before kissing me with a quick peck. “A few hours.”

“If I promise to be here when you get home, will you teach me some more new things?”

“Like what?” he smirked.

“Like how to take you deeper, into the back of my throat.”

His growl vibrated my chest as he pressed against me, holding me close. “Fuck you’re perfect.”

“I want you to teach me,” I moaned, knowing it turned him on. “I want you to teach me everything.”

“Right now, the only thing I can teach you is how to get to practice on time.”

“Will you teach me about soccer, too?”

“What do you want to know about soccer?”

“How to score,” I teased.

“Fuck, baby,” he pushed away and backed up like he was scared of me all of a sudden. “You already know too much.”

I batted my eyelashes at him as I raised my hand to my chest and pretended I had no idea what he was talking about. But I knew what I was doing to him, and I felt like a goddess. Cruz had the upper hand our entire lives, but now that I knew how much he wanted me, I felt empowered.

When he came back to me, I wrapped my arms around his waist. His phone buzzed in his back pocket and he rolled his eyes without reaching for it. “That is either my lawyer, filling me in on what happened after I punched Archer, or my agent, reminding me I punched Archer.”

If he was trying to be funny, it fell flat, because even though I wasn’t traumatized by Mr. Archer, I felt bad he’d lost his contract because of me. “Maybe you should get it then.”

“Only if you stop worrying,” he mumbled. “It's written all over your face, but I promise everything is fine. He got what he deserved, and I avoided getting in a contract with a guy like that.”
