Page 66 of Nita's Redemption

“What the fuck is this? She’s not a normal wolf,” Legend growled. The male had already fought earlier, his wounds nearly healed.

“Nita is normal, and I suggest you watch your tone,” Tank said.

There were three females in Hurricane’s pack who hadn’t fought aside from Honor who was Brock’s daughter.

Nita shifted, clothes appearing on her like magic. “If you would feel better, I’ll fight two of your females at the same time. Same rules, yes?”

Abe opened his mouth to disagree with the bullshit, only to stop at the plea in their female’s stare. Nita wanted to prove to the others that she was in fact normal and a force to be reckoned with.

“This is highly irregular but if Nita is willing to battle two on one then I will allow it if your females feel safer fighting her together.” Brock stood on the dais with Hurricane one brow raised as if he dared anyone to speak against him.

“Are you saying my females are too weak to fight yours one on one?” Hurricane asked, matching Brock’s stance.

Abe turned toward them making sure he was between Nita and the other females. “I think he’s stating facts since your female wouldn’t fight but submitted without attempting. Now we either make her fight one on one or do as suggested with her dueling two.”

“I promise I won’t hurt either of you,” Nita offered.

Her words appeared to anger the others. First the female who’d conceded stepped forward, shaking off her fur like she was gearing herself up. Next came a black wolf close to her size, but she stalked into the center. She like the males earlier, had amber eyes. Abe sent the image to Nita and his best friends, letting them know she might be related to the males who were slightly unstable.

“Alright, we have Avalon and Jubilee. Both are excellent females. Nita please shift back, and all three of you remember the rules.”

‘Nita, keep yourself protected at all times. Use all your senses with those two. I have a feeling they planned this little two on one thing.’ Link’s jaw was tight as he spoke through their bond.

‘Well, they will be in for a rude awakening when they realize our female isn’t just bigger than them but smarter and more than able to take them both on.’ Abe sent reassurance through their link to Nita as she calmly walked toward the two females.

Abe kept his eyes on the duo, seeing if he could interpret their actions before they made them. Jubilee was the first to launch an attack, her claws much longer than he expected. Nita easily deflected the attack and went for Avalon. The timid female reared up, catching Nita with a swift swipe, almost catlike. He shook his head, sending the information to the others.

“They fight like felines not wolves,” Tank muttered.

Link grinned as their female caught on to their bullshit. She used her size and strength, taking Jubilee down, biting down on her throat until she submitted. She hopped backward, leaving the angry wolf to get to her feet as she moved to the sidelines with her pack. The other female named Avalon let out a roar worthy of any alpha wolf, a clear warning she was unhappy her packmate was just dominated by Nita.

Nita tilted her wolven head to the side. Her black wolf Alana and her were obviously both in accord that they were ready to teach the others a lesson in respect. She settled down on her haunches with an attitude of boredom. Ah, she was beautiful and cute in her sassiness. He really wanted to pick her up and swat her ass for taunting the other wolf.

“She’s really tugging the tail of a predator,” Tank muttered.

“Yep. I think she’s trying to see what Avalon has in her.” Abe nodded at the other female who was stalking around Nita who appeared almost bored.

“Is she licking her paws like a kitten?” Link asked. Abe stared over at his brother, wondering why he looked pissed.

“Brah, she’s taunting her and doing a damn good job of it. Stop standing there with your hands on your hips like a pissed off father ready to ground your child for misbehaving. Our female is smart and knows what she’s doing.” Abe bumped his twin’s shoulder with his, nudging his chin toward the center.

When Nita and Avalon began to fight, the other female went hard. Nita rolled over, shoving the smaller female with all four legs. The coppery scent of blood filled the air. Abe fought to stay put as the two wolves snarled and grappled. Nita closed off their link so he couldn’t tell if she was holding back or if the other female was truly getting the best of her. He looked up at their alpha, noticing the loose stance he held while Hurricane was tense.

“How long are they going to allow this to continue?” he bit out.

“It’s been four minutes and thirty three seconds. The longest so far.” Tank looked to his father who gave a shake of his head.

Nita gave a yelp, and then she was moving fast and hard, taking Avalon to the ground with a snarl that left nothing to the imagination. She was telling the female she was to submit, or she would end her. The fresh smell of Nita’s blood made his wolf want to rip out of him. From what he could see now that the dust was kicking up from their fighting, Avalon had gone for a maiming bite. His female had been playing with the female who decided to go against the rules. Big mistake. Huge.

A roar from behind them had the hairs on his arms standing up. A large wolf with glowing amber eyes launched himself over them, aiming for Nita and Avalon. Before any of them could react their female released her hold on the downed wolf. She stood on her hind legs, catching the wolf coming at her. With a twist of her body, Nita tossed Ziggy away. His body hit the dirt with a thud. She didn’t wait for him to catch his bearings. Her huge wolf was every bit as big as the males, landing on him with a snarl she tore four huge furrows down the front of him. If she’d wanted to, their female could’ve eviscerated him. What she did instead was show him and all who witnessed her actions, was that she was better than him. Blood pooled all around him, his yowl of pain ignored as she bent, her wolven face at his neck. Nita, in the most magnificent way, let out a roar, making Ziggy’s fur blow back. Ziggy held still and slowly turned his neck, showing his throat to their female.

Silence filled the arena. Nita took a step back then another. Her sides heaved while she eyed the opponents she defeated. With one last glance at them, she lifted her nose to the air, and in the most haunting and beautiful song, their female howled.

“Fucking A, she’s all alpha, and she’s ours. Do we gotta hang around while they do whatever they’re gonna do?” Abe looked to Tank for an answer.

Tank shook his head. “Nah, my dad’s the alpha. He’ll deal with this shit. Let’s go run with our mate. I think she needs to let off some steam.”

Abe shifted first followed by his twin and then Tank. They raced after Nita who had left them in her dust. If there was ever any doubt that she was normal, she had shown them she was maybe not so normal, but she was perfect.
