“No, you’re going to miss the next part of the show.” Silver smiled wickedly at her.

“What’s the next part?”

“Well, all the performers will take a break for a few minutes.”

“I remember.”

“You remember?” Silver asked, knowing the answer.

“I was… I was here last night.”

“Well, thanks for coming back. I’m Silver.” She held out her hand for the woman to shake. “I’m the show director for the art collective that rents this space.”

“Your name is Silver?”

“Silver Kincade. Born and raised. My mom got to name my older brother, so my dad got to name me. That was their deal. Anyway… You are?”

“Oh, I’m…”

As the woman stumbled with the words, Silver leaned forward and whispered into her ear, “You’re thinking of a fake name right now. I get it. You can give it to me. But I can promise you that Silver is my real name, and I’d love to have yours.”

Honor took Silver’s hand and shook it.

“Honor,” she said.

“Honor, what?”

“Honor is my name,” she replied and dropped Silver’s hand.

“Pretty name,” Silver offered.

“So is Silver.”

Honor seemed almost surprised that she’d just said that, which only moved Silver to keep talking to her.

“So, what have you enjoyed so far? I can tell you where to stand for the next part after the break.”

“Oh, nothing. I just–”

“Honor,” she began and leaned into Honor’s body again, wanting to suck her earlobe into her mouth but resisting because this was technically a guest at Silver’s show and not a woman she was picking up at a bar. “You don’t have to lie or be embarrassed. You can just tell me. Or not. Up to you.” She pulled back but left her hand on Honor’s hip, wanting to slide it up under Honor’s shirt and caress heated flesh. “Can I tell you a secret?” she asked.

“A secret?”

“I saw you here last night.”

“Oh.”

“You had a hat on, but it was you.” Silver tilted her head. “No hat tonight?”

“I lost it,” Honor said quickly, obviously lying.

“I see. I watched you watch them, and you were very, very sexy.”

“Me?” Honor’s eyes went wide.

“Yes, you. I couldn’t watch them because I was watching you,” Silver revealed. “Will you tell me what you’ve liked the most so far?”

“Um…” Honor looked down at Silver’s hand but didn’t push it away. “All of it.” She shook her head. “I’ve liked all of it.”
