CHAPTER 12

“You went to a diner with her?” Devin asked.

“Yeah, we stayed there for a couple of hours. It was nice.”

“Nice?” Brandi asked.

“How was the sex?” Devin added.

“We didn’t have sex. We talked and ate. Well, mainly I ate. She mostly poked at a salad she didn’t want.”

“Who paid?” Brandi asked.

“Me.”

“For both of you?”

“Yes. Why?”

“You were on a date,” Brandi stated.

“No, I wasn’t.”

“Yes, you were. Right, Dev?” Brandi said, patting her girlfriend’s thigh.

“You two shared a meal and talked. Then, you paid. Date, Silver.” Dev nodded.

“It’s only a date if both of us agree to call it that. If not, it’s just two people who have slept together having a late dinner. I paid because I invited her, and she didn’t really order much, so it was, like, five bucks or something.” Silver closed her laptop. “Now, we have to get ready. So, drop this because Honor said she was going to come to the show tonight, and she might come to my place after.”

“Yeah? Did you tell her that you’re filling in for someone again?” Brandi asked her.

“I did. She’s into it.”

“She’s into watching you fuck someone else?”

“Yes. She said she was into it but also didn’t like it at all.”

“I’m so confused,” Devin said with a laugh. “She likes it but doesn’t?”

“I think she wants me all to herself, but at the same time, she likes watching me with someone else.”

“I bet that kind of confusion is hot,” Brandi suggested.

“It is to me,” Silver said. “I’m going to get dressed. You two good?”

“We’re definitely good. I’ve had more orgasms in the past five nights than I’ve had in, like, five years.”

“Hey!” Devin exclaimed.

“What? You’ve made me come, like, five times a night this weekend. Here and at home. It’s a good thing.”

“I don’t want people to think I’m neglecting you the rest of the year,” Devin objected.

“Great. You two figure this out, and I’ll see you later,” Silver said before she stood up and walked around her desk.

“She’s excited, babe,” Brandi teased.
