“Sorry? We’re talking about porn?”

“No, we’re talking about sex as art,” Silver replied.

“Oh,” Honor let out.

“And it can be art. We wanted to show people that sex is something that can be expressed and that it’s okay to do so. That when two or more bodies move together, or even one body moves toward that precipice of pleasure, it’s a beautiful thing. It’s also raw, passionate, and sometimes, gentle and based on more than just the desire to come. We set up the lights and the fabric along with the sets very deliberately to elicit emotion from everyone watching as well as the performers in the scene.”

“You call them scenes?”

“Yes,” Silver replied. “We didn’t just ask people to come here and have sex. We worked on this show for years, technically, but this past year, we hired performers and worked with them on each scene, asking them to focus on evoking emotions from the audience. The colors we chose to light the scenes do that as well. That’s why for the shower scene, we went with soft colors and a black that would help show passion but also the love between the two women.”

“Who are having sex in front of people?”

“Yes,” Silver stated again. “Everyone has their own thing, right? This is theirs. All the performers here, in fact, like to be doing this in front of people. And they’re really getting off out there; nothing has been faked. If they don’t come, they don’t come. They don’t fake it. That’s a rule. It needs to be genuine for this to work.”

“I see,” Honor said.

“So, tell me, Honor.” Silver entwined their fingers, causing Honor to look down just to realize that Silver still held her hand. “What brought you back in here tonight? I know it wasn’t that you lost a hat.”

“I felt bad.”

“This isn’t the place to feel bad. It’s the place to feel good.”

“I just… I ran away, and I thought you’d be upset, but you were just here working. You probably do that to a lot of women to get them to enjoy the show, to feel good.”

“I don’t,” Silver said, running a finger up the inside of Honor’s wrist. “And I shouldn’t have with you.”

“No?”

“No. But I saw you coming last night. I watched you clench those thighs together, and I could tell what you were doing. Don’t be embarrassed.” Silver lifted Honor’s chin so they could look into each other’s eyes. “There is no shame in making yourself feel good. You didn’t break any rules. When I saw you again tonight, I knew I had to talk to you. I didn’t plan on touching you. And I shouldn’t have. But you didn’t push me away, either, so I held on and watched you watching them. I also felt those thighs clenching, and it took everything in me not to undo those jeans and slide my hand inside.” Silver paused before she dropped her hand from Honor’s chin. “Tell me something, Honor. Were you wet?”

“Yes,” Honor whispered.

“Yeah? Why?”

“Because I liked watching,” Honor admitted.

“And?”

“And I liked what you were doing to me,” she added.

“I liked it, too,” Silver replied. “When I was staring at Devin’s pussy, watching her thrust inside herself and rub her clit, I thought about touching her. She wanted me to, but I didn’t. Do you know why?”

“No.”

“Because I wanted it to be you, Honor,” Silver answered. “I wanted to touch you.”

CHAPTER 6

“Why? Why me?” Honor asked.

“Well, you’re gorgeous,” Silver answered honestly before she brought Honor’s hand to her lips and kissed the inside of her wrist, taking a few liberties. Still, Honor hadn’t rejected her officially yet, nor had she pulled away from Silver’s touch. “There’s also just something about you that I can’t quite identify, but I wanted to talk to you last night. You left before I got the chance.”

“But you can tell that I’m not… you know, like you.”

“Like me? What’s that mean?” she asked with a lifted eyebrow before she kissed a little higher, earning a gasp from Honor, who still hadn’t withdrawn her hand.

“You just told me and, technically, a room full of people that you did that in that room with someone.” Honor pointed with her free hand toward Silver’s office.
