He didn’t want to overwhelm her this first day.
Chapter Nine
Hannah felt like her heart would beat out of her chest as he showed her around and explained the way they ran the club. He led her back to the bar and lifted her onto one of the stools.
“What do you think so far?” he asked.
“I’m not sure. It’s all new to me.”
“You’ll get used to it.”
She looked away and then back at him. “I’ll be gone.”
He laid one of his hands on her thigh. “I want you to stay here.”
“Stay where?” she asked.
“With me. You can waitress when the clubs open if you want, but you don’t have to work. I can take care of your every need.”
“So, you want me to live with you?”
He nodded.
“I would have to work. I wouldn’t want you to pay my way.”
“It’s up to you.”
She wanted to ask so many questions, but she was overwhelmed by the possibility of staying with him.
“What would I be to you?”
“You’ll be my sub.”
“What does that mean?” she asked.
“You’ll be my woman, but you’ll let me take care of you and make the majority of the decisions in our relationship.”
“What happens when you get sick of me?”
“I won’t.”
God, she wanted to believe him so much but knew better. “But if?”
He sighed. “I would get you settled in an apartment in town and find you a job you enjoy.”
She didn’t know if she could stay around if he let her go. If she ever saw him, it would be too painful.
“We’ll be open tonight. I’ll have Cat help you.”
“She works here?” she asked.
“Yes.”
That made her feel better that she wouldn’t be alone. “Where will you be?”
“I’m monitoring tonight.”
“What does that mean?”
