None of us lower our weapons as Jinx wheels herself in her chair toward us all.

“You didn’t call,” Rex tells her softly, his eyes moving to the chair with a frown.

“What happened? Usually, we have to force you to use the chair.”

“Nothing happened. I’m fine. I just overdid it a little.”

“Jesus, Jinx, one of these days, you’re going to seriously hurt yourself.”

“I think that ship has sailed. What I will say is that if you don’t all lower your weapons, I’ll start hurting you all instead.”

“Them first,” Nico orders, pointing at us.

Jinx folds her arms over her chest and looks at me, Splinter, and Knight.

“Not until his gun isn’t pointing at us. I don’t trust this motherfucker not to shoot us.”

“I wouldn’t put my girl in danger,” Nico fires back.

“She’s not your girl. She’s ours,” Splinter snarls at him.

“The fuck she is!” Nico yells.

“Screw this.” Jinx pulls her gun and fires it at the wall behind Nico.

We all swing our guns on instinct to face her. Toto sits beside her wheelchair, growling lowly, the fur on his back standing on end.

“I want you all to leave.”

“Jinx—” Rex starts, but she shakes her head.

“Go swing your dicks somewhere else. I’m not a fucking chew toy for you to fight over. Hell, my dog has better manners than you do. Right now, I’m too pissed to listen to any of you, so I suggest you leave before I pierce your ears with my pretty little Glock here.”

It’s really not the best time to get a hard-on, but I can’t help myself with this woman.

“Out!” she yells.

Nico lowers his gun before storming outside.

“I’ll talk to him. We’ll be back.” Rex turns and hurries after Nico, but not before throwing us all a glare.

“Well—”

I cut Knight off before Jinx shoots him. “We’ll go, give you some space, but this isn’t over. This is just the beginning.”

She doesn’t lower her gun, but she doesn’t refute my claim either, so I take that as a win. I wait for Splinter and Knight to leave first before following them out. Stopping in the doorway, I turn back to Jinx, who looks as hurt as she does pissed.

“We’ll be back.”

She nods once before I close the door. The other two are gone, so I jog out the front, remembering belatedly that our bikes are in the garage. I’m about to turn back when I realize the main garage door is open. I walk in and see Knight and Nico facing off with each other.

“If Jinx finds us all like this, she’ll paint this garage red with our blood.”

Nico looks at me, his jaw ticking. “She’s not a club whore.”

“We know. She’s old lady material. This isn’t a fuck and run. In fact, we’d still be inside with her if you hadn’t come back and fucked things up.”

Nico laughs incredulously. “I fucked things up? Are you insane? There were three armed bikers in her kitchen, and after what went down with Scooter…”
