2 cups lemon lime soda, chilled

2 cups ginger ale, chilled

2 cups sparkling apple juice, chilled

2 cups vodka or light rum

1½ cups frozen cranberries

1 lemon, sliced

1 lime, sliced

Combine the first six ingredients in a large punch bowl and mix well.

Add your lemon and lime slices to the punch.

Serve and enjoy.

Hayley’s Home Ec Christmas Rum Cake

Ingredients

Cake

1 cup chopped walnuts (pecans if you prefer)

1 package (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix

1 box (3.4 ounces) vanilla instant pudding & pie filling

4 large eggs

½ cup cold water

½ cup vegetable oil

½ cup dark rum

Glaze

8 tablespoons butter

¼ cup water

1 cup sugar

½ cup dark rum

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 12-cup Bundt pan. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the bottom of the pan.

Mix together the rest of the cake ingredients, and pour this mixture over the nuts in the Bundt pan. Bake 1 hour or until an inserted butter knife comes out clean.

Cool the cake, and then invert onto a serving plate.

Make the glaze by melting the butter in a saucepan. Stir in the water and sugar. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and stir in the rum.

Prick holes all over the top of the cooled cake with a fork, and then pour the glaze evenly onto the cake, letting it drip down the sides and absorb into the top of the cake. Use all of the glaze.
