“And he was able to walk when he left?” Bobby asked, sounding more serious this time.

“You are really wrecking my image of you as a sexual stud, brother,” Megan told him dryly.

“Have you never heard of chafing?” Bobby asked. “Heck, I’m surprised Sophie’s walking today after a three-hour marathon of sex. Speaking of which, the guy must be Mr. Quick-Release to pound it out six times in three hours with naps included. What is he? A three-minute-egg kind of guy?”

“No,” Sophie said, but didn’t add that she doubted they’d lasted three minutes most of those times. Megan and Bobby probably wouldn’t believe it was because it was so damned good.

“All right,” she said, standing up. “It’s ten. That means I’ve been here two hours. I have now finally finished working off the time I took off Thursday. I have things to do. I’m outta here.”

“What things?” Megan asked with interest, sliding off her desk.

“Oh, some shopping and housecleaning,” Sophie said airily.

“I thought you went grocery shopping on Wednesday,” Megan said suspiciously.

“Did I say grocery shopping?” she asked lightly as she bent to grab her purse out of her bottom drawer.

“You’re going to get pretty lingerie, aren’t you?” Megan said, waggling her eyebrows. “You’re seeing him again.”

“I am, and I am.” Straightening, Sophie grabbed the jacket she’d worn in to work from the back of her chair. She then walked around her desk, headed for the door.

“Where’s he taking you?” Megan asked as she and Bobby trailed her out into the hall.

“I don’t know. He’s calling after he catches some sleep.” Sophie didn’t mention that she was hoping they were going straight to her bedroom. Although, really, anywhere in her apartment would be fine. She just wanted to rip the man’s clothes off and explore every inch of his body. Sex with him was addictive despite the worrisome fainting. She couldn’t stop thinking about last night and what might come next. Sophie was even considering finding a sex shop after she hit the lingerie store, and seeing if she could find handcuffs or something. Lying in bed last night after he’d left, she’d developed something of a fantasy of handcuffing him to her bed and having her way with him. Just thinking about it now had her nipples hardening and wet heat developing between her legs.

“Make him take you to someplace fancy for dinner. Like La Bonne Vie,” Megan ordered. “Or—” She stopped abruptly as the sound of a phone ringing came from the depths of Sophie’s purse. “Oooh, I bet that’s him.”

She gave a distracted shake of the head. “He worked all night. He’ll be sleeping.”

The words had barely left her lips when she pulled her phone out and saw that it was indeed Alasdair.

“Oh,” she breathed with surprise, staring at his name on her display as her phone rang again.

“Told you,” Megan said with glee.

“What are you waiting for? Answer it,” Bobby said now, and then grinned and added, “We need to know what your plans are for tonight so we can show up and grill him about his intentions.”

Sophie snorted at that, and tapped the phone to answer it, then lifted it to her ear. “Hello?”

“Good morning, beautiful. Are you still at work?”

Sophie smiled at the sound of his deep voice across the phone lines. “You’re supposed to be sleeping.”

“I slept all night. Been up for hours. Just waiting to call you.”

“What?” she asked with surprise. “I thought you had to work all night?”

“My schedule changed. I will explain when I see you,” he promised, and then immediately asked, “When will I see you?”

Sophie hesitated, the plans she’d had for finding sexy little silkies and handcuffs then cleaning her apartment running through her mind and right out the window. “How about now?”

“Perfect. Then we can get an early start,” he said at once.

“An early start for what?” Sophie asked with interest.

There was a pause, and then Alasdair asked, “How do you feel about packing a bag and getting out of town for the rest of the weekend?”

Sophie’s eyebrows rose. “Where?”
