The guy’s eyes bounce from Payson’s tits to where he knows we are meeting but can’t see. His hand has since dropped to his dick but he’s not doing anything besides cupping it. If he knows what’s good for him, he won’t.
“Touch your pussy, babygirl. I want you to come again.”
She hesitates so I tug on her hair.
It doesn’t take her more than five minutes before she’s screaming and I have to throw a hand over her mouth to muffle it. I bite down on her shoulder to muffle my moans as I come deep in her pussy. She flutters around me, milking every last bit before melting in my arms.
I reach into my pocket, pull out my wallet, and toss it to the table with a thud. “Black card.”
Payson holds my hand tightly on our way to the car and turns to me once we step into the warm evening air. “You tipped him.”
I keep my eyes forward but dip my chin. “What we did was illegal. I figure a tip might help keep his mouth shut.” Not that I think he is on his way to the police as we speak, but a few grand should be enough of an incentive.
Her giggle is a nice sound compared to the raging inside my body.

Ash has been quiet ever since we got into the rental car after dinner. I’m not sure where we are going next or if that ruined the night and he is taking us back to the hotel. Guilt lays heavy in my stomach. I’m not sure if I did anything wrong but I can’t help but feel I did. I didn’t tell the guy to come over, I didn’t even know he showed up until Ash was growling and not in the way he normally does when we have sex.
A minute turns into thirty minutes of complete silence. We’ve not gone farther than a few miles because the traffic here is crazy. Unfortunately it gives me more time to think. By the time he parks the car, my breathing is elevated and my vision is blurred with unshed tears.
Ash lets out a heavy sigh and that breaks the dam because he sounds disapointed. A sob breaks through my lips. He pushes from the car right after and I sob harder. I hate myself so much for what just happened. I hate how I liked someone watching us. It was exciting claiming Ash in front of someone else. We never get to touch in public and I liked it, a lot.
My door flies open and a feral Ash stares down at me. I cry more. My seatbelt is undone and I’m being pulled from the car into his strong grip before I can even breathe. I jump and he wraps my legs around his body and holds me there, rocking us back and forth until I’ve calmed down and my sobs are only broken breaths.
“You want to tell me why you are crying?”
His accent doesn’t affect me as much as it used to but there are moments, like this, when his voice is so low, so husky that it’s thicker and tickles my ear perfectly. I don’t lift my head from his shoulder. “You’re mad at me.”
Ash sighs again and kisses the top of my head. “Oh, my beautiful, naïve little girl. I am not mad at you.”
His smile grows when he sees my face. My makeup must look so bad now. “You’re not?”
“I’m not mad at all. I’m . . . confused. Just thinking through things in my head.”
“Like what?”
He twists his lips but doesn’t answer. “Let’s go for a walk.”
My ears pick up the waves crashing to the shore before my eyes adjust to the dark night. The ocean. I scramble from his arms and run to the edge of the parking lot in front of the car. I can’t see much but I can hear it. “I’ve never been to the ocean.”
Ash steps by my side with his hands shoved deep into his pockets. “I know.” He takes a step, turns, and reaches a hand toward me. “Let’s go see the ocean, Jailbird.”
It’s close to forty feet from the car to reach the edge of the water and I don’t stop bouncing the entire way. Ash is laughing at me, but I don’t stop. I’m too excited. I love water, all forms of it. Going to the Great Lakes is one of my favorite things to do, but seeing the ocean is so cool. Even when it is almost pitch black. The air smells exactly how I imagined it would, and the sound is exactly like you hear on those peaceful noise machines but better because it’s right in front of me and not through a speaker. My bed mate had one in juvie, and she used to listen to it all night long.
Ash sits down in the sand and pulls me between his legs. I lean back into his hard chest and watch and listen to the white caps on the waves for a long time. It’s chilly but Ash is so warm it balances it out. I bury my toes in the sand, since we left our shoes at the car, and smile. “This is the best first date.”
“I’m glad.”
“I’m not sure how you are ever going to beat this one,” I tease. “We have a lot of dates in our future, and you’ve set the bar pretty high, Mr. Pearson.”
His chest shakes with a deep laugh. “That’s a good problem to have, I’d say.”
I rest my head against his shoulder and anxious bubbles boil in my stomach. “You gonna tell me why you were upset?”
Ash pulls away and grabs my hips, turning me to face him instead. I lay my legs over his and wrap my arms around his neck to play with his hair. “You could almost put this in a pony,” I acknowledge.
