Page 123 of The Loathing

I storm down the hallway, my heavy steps echoing off the walls. I am angry, so fucking angry that my blood is burning under my skin. Pulling my phone out, I click on Xavier’s name and he answers on the first ring.

“What?”

“Don’t what me Xavier, I am angry. I need out. We need to get her out,” I keep my voice low as my feet pound the floor.

“What’s happened?”

“He laid his fucking hands on her, grabbed her round the throat. If I was a few seconds later…” I pause, stopping and looking back towards her room. “He wants to take her to London to introduce her to his circle.”

I hear the heavy exhale of Xavier.

“Go to London with her.”

“Can’t we get her out? I can’t stand watching her like this.”

“Titus, stick to the plan.”

“What fucking plan?” I am near on hysterical now, my heart is galloping in my chest, the blood pumping in my ears, “I don’t know what the plan is because you still haven’t told me everything!”

“You know everything you need to know… for now. Tell cunt chops you’re going to London with her. That was part of the deal. She moves, you follow. Five steps behind.”

“But—”

“Goodbye Titus,” and the line goes dead.

I clasp my phone tightly, my lips rubbing into a thin line as I inhale heavily. Moving forward, I rush down the stairs to find where the little weasel is hiding.

“Wolfie,” I call out, giving him a little whistle like you would call a dog. Pushing the door of his office open, it’s empty and my brows furrow. I turn to see Hunter standing in the doorway.

“Move,” I growl.

“You’re becoming a bit of a problem,” he smirks, holding his arms out, stretching across to the frame.

“As are you,” I step forward, my fists balled at my side.

“Who are you looking for?”

“Your asshole brother.”

“He isn’t here unfortunately,” he licks his upper lip.

“Where is he?”

“London,” his evil grin spreads across his face and I grab him by his shirt.

“He wasn’t meant to be leaving until tomorrow,” the panic is evident in my voice.

“Change of plans,” he sniggers, and I pull him away from the door, discarding him to the floor like the piece of worthless trash that he is.

Running towards Amora’s room, I am praying that Hunter is winding me up but when I kick through the door and see her room empty, I know he has taken her. How the fuck did he get her out that quick.

Fuck.

Pressing Xavier’s name, I wait for half a second before he answers.

“Titty.”

“He’s taken her,” I breathe out, my eyes pinned to the emptiness. “He’s taken her,” my voice barely audible as I cut Xavier off.
