“Oh, my God, Cooper,” I breathed. “Thank you.”
He smiled at me before turning to his daughters.
“Now, safety comes first, girls,” he said. “You have a lot to learn before you’ll use these machines.”
But the girls had already moved to the fabric.
“Can I make my shorts out of this?” Eva cried, pointing at some yellow cotton.
Lily gazed up at some pink tulle longingly.
“I think someone has already picked out the fabric for her princess dress,” the woman said with a smile. “Let me know if you need anything else, Mr. Pierce.”
“I will, Ms. Harrison. Thanks for all your help on such short notice. Monica will show you out downstairs.”
The woman winked at me with a smile before she left, carrying a Chanel handbag and a tablet.
“A sewing consultant?” I asked. “Cooper, when did you arrange all this?”
Cooper shrugged. “Last night. I didn’t know sewing consultants existed until my assistant found her for me. I needed someone to tell me what equipment to buy.”
The workmen gave Cooper some paperwork and took their leave as well.
Cooper and I watched as the girls chattered excitedly, pointing to the fabrics and the tools hanging on the wall out of their reach. His masculine, woodsy cologne reached my head, making me feel even more woozy.
No, it wasn’t just his cologne. It was everything about him. Just being in the man’s presence was mesmerizing.
“Don’t feel like you have to teach Eva and Lily,” Cooper said. “I know you’re busy with your store. Ms. Harrison can hook me up with teachers who’ll come here.”
I smiled. “Are you kidding? I’d love to teach them.”
“Okay, but don’t let it pull you away from those marketing campaigns.” He winked.
“I wouldn’t dream of it.”
“This room is for you as much as it is for them, you know. If you ever need equipment to work on your designs, you can use what’s here at home.”
I looked at him, and his gorgeous eyes locked on mine.
“I took the liberty of looking at your purchasing records. I ordered the fabrics you seem to stock up on the most.”
My eyes bulged as I saw where he was pointing. “Oh, wow, Cooper. You got all my favorites. And then some.”
He’d even bought the high-end linen and silk I’d never been able to afford.
“I also got a few items from your wish list,” he said, watching me run a finger along a bolt of silk.
I looked at the beautiful space and blinked back tears. “This studio is amazing. Thank you so much for all this, Cooper.”
“Don’t mention it. Thank you for spending this time with the girls.”
Eva ran up to Cooper. “Thank you, Daddy! This is the coolest place ever.”
He bent down so Eva and Lily could wrap their arms around his neck.
“Thanks, Daddy,” Lily said. “We really like it.”
“Felicity, can you start teaching us now?” Eva asked.
