“Try it. They’re still voting members in, you can accept or decline. It’s all about your consent to what you will do and not be willing to do with your body,” Tara said.

“Let’s do mani/pedis. I know my color is fading if not about to chip all the way off.” Chloe pulled out an entire suitcase. When she opened it, it was a portable nail salon.

All our nails were done, Tara waxed our eyebrows, and Celeste did our hair. We looked fantastic!

“Let’s go out to eat! I’m starving and we look too damn good to hide in a dorm!” Celeste said, and we laughed.

“I have nothing to wear and I’m not asking my father for anything right now.” I didn’t want to talk about what happened, because ultimately it was disgusting. I still prayed it was a drunken mistake and they would forget all about it.

“Don’t worry babe, we have you!” Tara said, jumping into Chloe’s closet. She pulled out four dresses and shoes and we got dressed. I was thicker than Chloe, but it worked. Thank goodness for spandex and stretchy clothes!

We made it about thirty miles outside of town, and we found an amazing Italian diner. Italian food is my absolute favorite, so I was already in heaven.

We ate our dinner, planned out the next week, and had an oath that Sunday nights would be our girl’s night out.

The school week that followed was fantastic. I didn’t have any issues. Chloe and I were inseparable, and there were days when I didn’t know what I’d do without her. On other days, she’d have to do her TA job, and I’d be at home working on my school projects. We became close really fast.

Over the weekend, we didn’t talk about guys or anything like that but created a dream job. We created a business plan for a small therapy clinic she would run, and I would be a therapist at. We had everything planned all the way to the small waterfalls and Zen gardens. It was going to be more than a therapy office.

We went to a few amusement parks, the movie theater, and a few lakes and went swimming. The amusement parks were our favorite because we had straight adrenaline rushes. Just the initial feeling of riding the roller coaster and feeling gravity being defied. It was euphoric. As soon as we had our rushes, we indulged in pronto pups, funnel cakes, fried Oreos, and drank copious amounts of lemonade. I know I gained about twenty-five pounds before our week's vacation was over. We saw the new Mermaid live-action that was just released. It definitely wasn’t meant for little kids. We saw Lamb of God and Loveless in concert and that was purely amazing. Nothing like rocking out and partying with metal heads to clear your head before a big exam!

Once we passed our exams, we celebrated by going to a Sip and Paint party, where we drank wine and painted canvases! It was the best! I never knew I could have such a good friend. Chloe was becoming part of my family.

Since Chloe didn’t have Tara or Celeste, I guess they moved away. I never really asked about what happened. I knew Chloe worked with Celeste at the bar, but I was clueless about the rest. It wasn’t my business to know.

On Sunday, we had another ladies’ night where we all were there. Tara and Celeste were visiting for the weekend. It was nice. We made jewelry, friendship bracelets, rings, and a few epoxy nicknacks. I learned a lot about us when we were together. We could be ourselves and didn’t have to pretend. I was happy to be a virgin. I was scared it was almost taken away. I almost admitted what happened, but never got to that point.

It was official. Chloe and I were best friends, if not almost sisters. Tara and Celeste were part of our circle, and I was becoming close to them as well.

“Are we not planning a wedding anymore?” Celeste asked.

“Not unless she’s marrying Dimitri,” Tara laughed.

“Dimitri?” I asked. Chloe looked at them with a shushed look.

“I’m not getting married.” Chloe shut the conversation down.

My father’s name was Dimitri. Was this a coincidence or was something going on?

When I woke up this morning, I was determined to get out of everything that was cursing me. I sprinted to Dean Groveton’s office. I had to meet with him to get a new assignment. There was no way I was going to continue on with Dimitri. Now that I knew who he was, I was sober enough to know what was going on. I couldn’t do this. I really liked Star.

I saw the texts she sent about how her family was hiding something and she needed a place to crash. I felt like shit. I was hoping I could hide the horrible shit that had happened before her family dinner. So, like a normal rotten friend, I avoided her. Last night, Dimitri sent me a few texts explaining that he couldn’t stay away from me, and that one taste would never be enough. I ignored the text, leaving them on read, and kept going about my night.

Soon after, he came over saying he was on his way home. He said he wanted to talk. A few minutes later, Eric and Kevin showed up, and we sat down to discuss everything. How I was the student in charge of the Good Girls’ Club. Hell, I told Kevin and Eric about Star and how she was a blooming flower ready to blossom. Somehow, Dimitri didn’t correct me even with it being his daughter. I just didn’t want them to share me. I had a feeling she would be my best friend. I really wanted a good friend that didn’t judge me the way everyone else did.

“Can we share with you one time and give you the best night of your life? When we’re done, it’ll be up to you if we move forward and do anything else. What do you say, Chloe?” Kevin was persistent. However, the more I thought about it, I didn’t want any of my first experiences to be with any of them. No offense to them, but if I was to lose my virginity to someone, I wanted it to be special. Not professors and my new friend’s daddy. Not cool at all.

“Kevin, as much as I love the sound of that, and as much as I’m going to regret ever mentioning the answer ‘no’ to that proposition, I have to decline. I’m not a girl who just lets anyone take her and then says, “Bon voyage!” I laughed.

“What are you saying, then?” Eric looked up. His eyes were sunken in. “You’re cracking my heart now, babe. I thought we promised you the night of your life and I am ready to deliver. Right. Now.” He slapped his leg, and I jerked at the impact.

“You said you wanted to keep things professional. What changed?” I ignored Eric and Kevin and looked directly at Dimitri. He was the one who started this entire fiasco. He would be the one to explain what changed in less than twenty-four hours.

“You left a taste I can’t quit. I already told you it’s complicated. Can we just leave it at that?” Dimitri said. I didn’t even remember him partaking in the cunnilingus delight.
