So, we called another Bad Girls Club meeting. I was sick of being harassed. I just wanted it all to end. I showed up without Kale and only certain people we suspected might be behind the letters were invited. And that’s who showed up: My father, Eric, and Kevin.
I didn’t know why we weren’t telling Kale about this meeting, but we agreed to do it between us five so we could get to the bottom of what was going on.
They might not be as inclined to discuss why they were harassing me if Kale came, plus I didn’t want any more attempts on his life. If it wasn’t for these three, then it left the Dean Groveton, and anyone Kale might have pissed off. Plus, the trio of pervs was the only three I could think of that might send the secret to admire letters, and they were the only ones other than Kale I slept with, so it had to be one of the three, right?
Chloe and I go into the science lab and wait for the men to show up. I didn’t know what would happen when they got there. I was nervous. My hands felt like they were soaking in water from how much sweat I accumulated. There were no nails left to bite. My anxiety level was officially at heart attack.
While we waited, we made a few drinks and snacks for us to indulge in while we waited. I was expecting the unexpected and I didn’t want anything to go wrong. I didn’t want to get pinned down again. I didn’t want to be forced into another situation where I was not able to choose. I didn’t like that my choice was taken away from me. I understood life isn’t fair, but I didn’t agree with all that has happened.
The first of the three to arrive was Eric. He was dressed in his typical button down shirt, khaki pants and his combat boots. Odd fashion, if you asked me. “What’s this about? I have places I need to be.” Eric said paying no mind to Chloe. “Did you want another round of the E-man?” He laughed, reaching for my hips.
“Ew. No. I’d rather not. I want to know why you’re harassing me.” I spat. I didn’t want anything to do with him and definitely didn’t want him touching me. I slapped his hands away. “Don’t touch me. You do not get to touch me. Not now. Not ever.”
“How am I harassing you? I haven’t said anything to you since our last meet-up. And honestly, I’ve been busy with this new TA I'm training.” He said looking confused.
“Well, if you’re not harassing me, that leaves Kevin and Dimitri. I guess.” I wasn’t sure. I felt my shoulders droop and I was ready to run far, far away from this college. All of my hopes and dreams, just flush them down the drain.
“Probably. Is that all?” Eric was ready to get out of there and I was ready for this whole idea to be over with. I just nodded and pointed to the door.
“Yeah. You can go. Thanks.” Chloe said as she sat beside me. This might have been a bad idea, because now Eric could call Kevin or Dimitri and everything would be ruined.
Lo and behold, Kevin walked into the room with his smug smile, leather jacket and black jeans completed with his boots. I loved the leather jacket. I didn’t like the man too much.
“Hello ladies, is this a special session? Two for the time of one?” Kevin laughed as he sat beside us.
“No. We’re trying to figure out why you’re harassing me. I want it to stop!” I yelled at him and slammed my hands on the table.
“That’s laughable. I’m not harassing you. I’ve been hanging out at the bar and trying to get this other girl’s attention. Wrong guy. Sorry.” He said, throwing his hands up. He got up to leave, “for what it’s worth, Star, you’re amazing and I’m glad I shared that day with you.”
Bile filled my throat. I needed to puke. There’s one thing I didn’t want to relive–that night. Gross. “Okay. Have a good night.” I dismissed him and waited for the one man that I knew was behind it all along. My father, Dimitri Billiot.
As soon as I thought about it, he appeared. I must be a magician or something. “Hello ladies! Chloe, Star.” He tipped his head at us and had a seat. “When will the rest arrive?”
I shook my head, “nobody else is coming. Why are you sending these cryptic messages and flowers?” I cut to the chase. I had nothing else to say. I just wanted to know why and I wanted it to stop.
“First of all, how long did it take you to figure out it was me?” He asked.
“I knew instantly because you’re the only sick and depraved man that would come up with something like this.” I snapped. He walked around to Chloe and rubbed his hands on her neck.
“Ow! What was that?” She yelped, rubbing her neck.
“Second of all, what makes you think I would ever stop?” He laughed as Chloe stood up and instantly sat back down.
“You switched your daughter at birth with me so that you and whoever adopted your daughter could fulfill whatever depraved fantasies you had with that child and you don’t see anything wrong with it? Not to mention, you raped me, tried to kill Kale and me, and continue to be a disgusting pig!” I was yelling. “If you were ever decent or had a caring bone in your body, I’d hope you’d be able to let it go. I can accept I don’t have parents. You need to accept I’m not your daughter and forget you ever knew me.”
“Thirdly, you’re mine. I own you. When you turn twenty-five years old, you’re going to get my father’s life inheritance, you’re going to be a millionaire. The other kid’s parents didn’t have that to give their child. All I need is for you to produce me one heir. And you get everything you’ll ever need.” Dimitri was walking around me now. “I changed your medications at the hospital. You’re on a fertility drug to speed up your eggs. I’m not really sure how it works, but I was told it’s pretty fast. Maybe if we’re lucky, you’ll give me twins.”
“You’re disgusting. I’m on birth control.” I lied. I needed him to think there wasn’t any chance in hell I was going to be pregnant. The money, house, riches, nothing was worth the lifetime of hell he was going to put me through.
“You’re not on birth control. It wasn’t on your list of medications. So, you’re lying to me. Liars deserve punishment.” He laughed at me. “Chloe should be falling asleep shortly. You and I have a trip to make. So, hurry up and fall asleep too.” He rubbed my neck and I felt a sharp pain.
“What did you just put into me? Did you just give me a—” Everything was spinning. I not only felt like I needed to puke, but I also felt like the world was three-dimensional. Something wasn’t right. Fuck. He drugged me.
“Star, one day, you’ll learn I know it all. I knew you were setting me up. I’m not sure how you were setting me up, but since your little boy toy refused to leave you alone, I have no choice but to put my plaything back in her cage.” Dimitri said. He kept talking, but I wasn’t sure what he was saying. I felt the room spin, I closed my eyes and the last thing I remembered was Dimitri saying, “It’s time to go to our playhouse, Starlight.” And everything faded to black.
Chloe
When I woke up, I was still in the science lab. Tara was shaking me trying to figure out what was going on. Kale was livid. Absolutely livid. “Where the fuck is Star?!” He yelled at me. I was still trying to find my bearings and figure out what was going on. What happened?
