Brian crowed in victory. “That’s right!”

I looked on and smiled at his exuberance. We were both drenched, and yet we were having the times of our lives. My smile dropped as I caught sight of something and stepped forward. Brian’s laughter instantly died at my movements.

I lifted my hand and ran it over his wet shirt. “So these were the other piercings Owen talked about,” I said, tracing the outline of the nipple rings with my finger. “Are these the only others?”

“You’ll just have to wait and see,” Brian said breathlessly.

I stared into his eyes and leaned forward. I couldn’t stop myself. I pressed my lips against his, and he moaned into our kiss. I reveled in his unique flavor, and I wanted more. I pushed harder, deepening our embrace.

“You better clean that mess.” Hayden’s voice broke us apart, and I felt my face heat.

“We’ll take care of it,” I replied, not looking in his direction. I heard him leave the room and gazed back up at Brian. His face was red, and I’m sure mine mirrored his, but I didn’t regret the kiss.

“Will you go out on a date with me?” I asked.

Brian didn’t reply right away, and I felt the butterflies from earlier make a reappearance in my gut. But I didn’t have to worry; he smiled and gave a silent nod. “Okay, I’ll date you.”

My smile was instantaneous. I had won the lottery, and I couldn’t wait.

Thank God.
