I love how quick he’s been to fall into this bonding with me, but it kind of makes me wonder where the hell Zane is if he’s not with us and he’s not with Zoey.

Breaking the kiss, I open my mouth to ask, when the pool entrance door swings open and I hear two sets of footsteps heading our way. Turning, I see Zane and Cameron, walking together, and not biting each other’s heads off.

“Be honest with me,” I tell Russ. “Am I in a coma?”

He gives me bemused smile. “You’re not in a coma?”

“Are you asking me, or telling me?”

“He’s telling you,” Zane says, drawing my attention.

He’s looking better than he’s ever looked, and I don’t think it’s just the heat talking. Something’s different. He feels good. Confident. Sexy. Flirty.

I turn my attention to Cameron and my jaw almost hits the floor.

His gaze is heated when he turns it on Zane, and he feels like he does after we’ve had sex. He’s practically floating on a cloud.

“Did you two just …” I start, trailing off when I notice the bulge in Cameron’s pants.

“I could ask the same,” Cameron says, nodding at Russ.

He has a point. I guess I’m surprised he’s taking it so well.

“I claimed Dale as my mate,” Russ admits.

“Cameron claimed me,” Zane states, shocking the hell out of me.

“He did?” I ask, staring at them both and wondering how the hell that happened.

It’s like a wet dream come true for me. I really shouldn’t question it.

I’m just so used to defending Zane when I argue with Cameron about what I need and what he thinks I need. Knowing how he feels about Zane, my Alpha is the last person I’d ever have expected Cam to bond with. I guess something changed while I was sleeping.

“I did,” Cam confirms. “And now, I think it’s about time Zane claimed his Omega.”

“I think I might still be sleeping,” I murmur as Zane kneels down in front of me.

He leans in and kisses me. “Are you ready to be claimed?”

“I’ve been ready for you for years.”

“I’m sorry I made you wait.”

Chapter Seventy-Eight

Zane

The sweet, fruity scent of Dale’s perfume fills up the air within seconds of my lips meeting his. He kisses me back with his hands in my hair, pulling me in close as my tongue swipes over his. I want this. I want him. He’s been mine forever, and it’s taken me way too long to make it official.

He breaks the kiss to stare at me breathlessly. “What about Zoey?”

“What about Zoey?” I echo, wondering what he means.

“We should all be together for this, shouldn’t we?” he asks, looking up at Russ and Cam. “I mean, if we’re all going to be a pack?”

“We don’t have to do everything together,” I start, before I get to my feet. “But now that you mention it, where is Zoey?”

“She went upstairs with Archer,” Russ says. “That was a while ago now.”
