“Well,” he says, “I think I just proved you’re really Zoey.”

He looks at Archer, who still isn’t looking very impressed.

“The song was something Dale used to hum when we were kids,” he explains. “Zoey would always start singing the words. She called it Dale’s Song.”

“Well, it worked to wake her up,” I tell Archer.

“Hm,” he mutters, his hand still covering hers.

“Dale still hums that song sometimes,” Cameron adds, his gaze moving over to Dale as he gets to his feet. “When he’s feeling good, it’s like his theme song.”

“He needs you here,” Zoey tells Cameron. “We all do.”

“We’re stuck here, anyway,” Cameron mutters.

Archer shakes his head. “There’s Wi-Fi. We don’t have to be trapped here.”

The silence that follows that truth shows how unmotivated we are to leave.

Even Cameron has nothing to say. He doesn’t want to leave Dale.

If no one else is willing to say it, I will. I get to my feet and shake off the nervous energy that rushes through me at the idea of taking charge while there are two Alphas here.

I’m only going to tell everyone what we all know already.

Archer frowns at me, but he doesn’t tell me to sit down.

Zane offers an encouraging smile, as if he knows what I’m doing.

Zoey gazes up at me with love in her eyes.

I know this is right. We all feel it, even if some of us don’t want to admit it.

“I think we all know why we shouldn’t leave. Even if we can. Fate brought us together. We’re here because we’re supposed to be a pack.”

Zoey stands up and takes my hand. “Russ is right. This is why we’re here. I don’t think we should leave until we’re bonded like we should be.”

Zane gets to his feet and puts his hand on my shoulder. “I feel the same way, and I know Dale does. I won’t stop anyone else who wants to leave, but we all belong here, together.”

Cameron rises, but I can tell by his expression he’s not about to agree with us. “You can tell me when Dale’s awake. I want to speak to him before I get out of here.”

Damn. We’re not all on the same page.

Zane lets out a soft sigh. “I’ll bring him to you when he’s awake.”

Cameron walks across the lobby and exits the hotel by the doors that lead out to the pool.

Archer stands up next, letting go of Zoey’s hand.

She watches him with worried eyes.

Even I can’t read the expression he’s wearing.

My heart starts to thump hard and fast in my chest.

I don’t know what’s going to happen, and I’m half afraid my Alpha might be about to make a decision he’ll regret. If he wants to leave, if he can’t do this, I can’t stay bonded to him.

“I want the Wi-Fi password,” Archer says, as he takes his phone out of his pocket.
