“Then let’s go.” Charleigh grabbed my hand.
We went out the front door and walked down to Grayson’s house. Stepping around the back, I smiled.
“Are you having a party without us?” I shouted.
“What the fuck!” Conner grinned as he walked over and hugged me tight. “You weren’t supposed to be home until tomorrow, bro.”
“Yeah, that’s what we wanted you to think.” I smiled.
“Welcome home, brother.” Nathan hugged me.
“We missed you guys.” Jackson hugged me.
I hugged the rest of my family, and Charleigh went off to talk to the girls.
“So, how was the honeymoon?” Simon asked as he handed me a beer.
“You know how it was. You all were practically with us.” I laughed.
“True,” Sam said.
“Hello, boys. I thought I heard everyone down here,” Aunt Barb walked over. “Christian, what are you doing back already?”
“We missed everyone so much we decided to leave a day early.”
“He’s a liar. They planned to come back today and didn’t tell us.” Sebastian patted my back.
“Hi, Curtis.” I extended my hand.
“Hello, Christian. Welcome home.”
“Curtis and I stopped by because we have some news to share,” Aunt Barb said, and everyone went quiet. “We’re getting married!” She held up her hand that sported a big, beautiful diamond ring.
“Again?” Simon said. “You’re not going to shoot him, are you?”
“Bro, what the fuck?” Shaun slapped the back of his head.
“I don’t think you’re funny, Simon.”
“Ah, come on, Mom. You know I’m joking.” He hugged her. “Congratulations.”
“I’m so happy for you two.” I hugged her and then Curtis.
Everyone congratulated them, and we celebrated with a drink.
“So, are you eloping?” Simon asked.
“No. We’re having a wedding with our family and friends,” Aunt Barb said.
“But you already did that once,” Simon spoke. “Aren’t there some kinds of rules for getting married to the same person twice?”
“No, Simon, there isn’t. I was thinking we could get married here on the beach.” She smiled.
“NO!” Stefan and Sam spoke at the same time.
“Sorry, Mom.” Stefan hooked his arm around her. “We love you and everything, but no.”
“I was joking anyway. We haven’t set a date yet, but when we do, we’ll find the perfect venue. Anyway, we just wanted to stop by and share the news with you all. We have dinner plans with our friends, so we must get going.” She grabbed Curtis’s hand.
