Ella and I walked into Ink Perfection.
“Charleigh?” A man walked over.
“You must be Calvin.” I smiled as I extended my hand.
“I am. It’s nice to meet you.” He placed his hand in mine. “I couldn’t believe it when Christian came in this morning and told me what happened. I have your invitations right here.” He stepped behind the counter and grabbed the box.
I took one of the invitations out and looked it over.
“Calvin, this is perfect. I can’t thank you enough.”
“You’re welcome, Charleigh.” He smiled. “If you or Christian need anything else, let me know.”
After leaving the shop, we headed home.
“Let’s go show your mom the invitations,” I said to Ella.
“Okay!”
We stepped through the sliding door and saw Sofia lying on the couch.
“Are you okay?” I asked as I walked over to her.
“This morning sickness is killing me.” She sat up.
“I can take Nicholas for you,” I said as I sat next to her.
“Thanks, but he’s napping right now. Are those the new invitations?”
“Yes. What do you think?” I grinned as I handed it to her.
“Oh, Charleigh, this is beautiful. We’ll come over later, get them addressed, and you can take them to the post office tomorrow morning.”
My phone rang, and it was Giuseppe.
“I have to answer this.” I stood up. “Hello.”
“Charleigh, darling. Are you home?”
“Yes, Giuseppe. I’m home.”
“Fabulous. Would you mind if I stopped by?”
“Not at all.”
“I should be there in half an hour.”
“I’ll see you soon.” I ended the call. “That was Giuseppe. He’s stopping by.”
“I love him.” Sofia smiled.
“So do I. Do you need anything?” I asked her.
“Thanks, but I’ll be okay in a couple of hours. That’s when the nausea seems to go away.”
“Okay.” I hugged her. “I’ll see you later. Ella, are you coming?”
“Yeah. Bye, Mom. If you need me, let me know.”
