He turned his head when he heard Jackson’s motorcycle.

“Oh really?” Conner cocked his head. “You two are going for a ride?”

“We are.” Jackson smiled. “Jealous?”

“Maybe,” Conner said.

“Well, bro, we are the only two that don’t have kids to worry about. So, we’ll see you on the flip side.” Jackson pulled out of the driveway.

“We won’t be gone long,” I said as I started my bike and followed behind Jackson.

We were riding along the coast, taking in the beautiful scenery and feeling the wind against our skin. I glanced over at Jackson as he rode next to me and smiled. We rode for over an hour and then headed back home. I spent the rest of the evening with my brothers and cousins. Sebastian ordered a few pizzas from the brewhouse, and we all gathered at Gabriel’s to eat and go swimming.

I was sitting in one of the loungers while Lily and Ella were in the pool. Sam was in with the twins. Stefan was in with Henry and Rory, and Simon was in with Nora. Conner sat next to me with Isabella strapped to him, and Sebastian sat next to him with Noah strapped to him.

“There you are,” I said to Shaun as he walked over. “Where are the kids?”

“I called Laura and told her I’d double her rate if she came and helped out for a few hours.” He smiled.

“Does Jenni know this?” Sebastian asked.

“No.” He chuckled as he sat down. “But she won’t care.”

“Uncle Christian, come in and swim with us!” Ella shouted from the pool.

“What about me?” Conner narrowed his eye at her.

“You have the baby. You can’t,” she shouted.

“Looks like you’ve been replaced, bro.” I grinned as I stood up, took off my shirt, and jumped into the pool.

CHAPTER25

ONE WEEK LATER

Christian

“I’m off, babe.” I smiled as I kissed Charleigh’s lips.

She grabbed hold of my shirt and stared into my eyes. “I know you’ve skydived before, but I’m still going to be a nervous wreck.”

“Don’t be.” I chuckled. “I love you. Have a great day.”

“I love you too. You better not go and die. We’re getting married next week, and it’s too late to cancel the wedding.”

“I promise to call you once we land on the ground.” I kissed her one last time.

We all met in my driveway as the party bus Shaun rented for us pulled up.

“Let’s do this!” Grayson hooked his arm around me.

The bus took us to the drop zone, where we met the four private instructors I arranged. They would be flying with us since my brothers and some of my cousins had never skydived before.

“You okay?” I asked Conner as we boarded the plane.

“You don’t, by chance, have any Xanax on you, do you?” he asked.

I let out a chuckle. “Trust me. You’re going to love this.” I patted his back.
