“Are you still in court?”
“We just finished. Nora is ours.”
“Great news but why isn’t Sebastian answering his phone?”
“He left his phone at home. He has to run and get it.”
I immediately dialed Shaun’s number.
“What’s going on?” Shaun answered.
“I need to talk to Sebastian right now. Is he there?”
“Yeah. He’s right here. Hold on.”
“Christian, what’s wrong?” Sebastian asked.
“Emilia had the baby, Sebastian. She’s here at the hospital.”
“What?!” He shouted. “Is she and the baby okay?”
“She’s fine. They took your son to the NICU, which is standard for a premature baby.”
“Jesus Christ. Tell her I’m on my way.” He hung up.
I walked back into the room as a couple of transporters wheeled her out.
“Where are you taking her?” I asked.
“Room 2200.”
I grabbed Emilia’s hand. “Sebastian is on his way. He left his phone at home.”
“Okay. Thank you, Christian.”
“You’re welcome.” I leaned over and kissed her forehead. “I’ll wait for him down here and bring him up.”
She gave me a nod as they rolled her away, and Charleigh gave me a sympathetic smile. I let out a sigh and rubbed my forehead as I walked out of the emergency room doors and waited for Sebastian. Suddenly, Simon’s car flew up to the entrance with the sirens on, and Sebastian jumped out.
“Where is she?” He hugged me.
“I’ll take you to her.” I tightened my arms around him.
“Everyone okay?” Simon walked over.
“Emilia’s fine. As far as I know, the baby is too. They took him to the NICU right away.”
“Keep us updated, bro. You know we’ll all be here later for support.” Simon hugged his brother.
“Thanks, bro.”
Sebastian and I walked into the hospital.
“Where’s Georgia?” Sebastian asked.
“Georgia is giving a speech at UCLA today. I paged her, but she hasn’t responded yet.”
“Wait a second. If Georgia isn’t here, who the fuck delivered my baby?” he asked as I pushed the button to the elevator.
