“I missed you so much.” My lips planted tiny kisses all over his face as he held me up.

“I missed you too, babe. Give me those lips.” He grinned.

“Where are my babies?” Jenni asked after she hugged and kissed Shaun.

“They’re upstairs sleeping. I know how much you missed them, but please don’t wake them up.”

“Too bad, Daddy. I want my babies.” She grabbed Shaun’s hand and led him inside the house.

“My sweet girl. How are you?” Conner bent down and pressed his lips against Charlotte’s belly. “Daddy missed you so much. Mommy is never taking you away from me again.”

“Come on, Conner. Let’s go inside.” Charlotte sighed as she patted his head.

Christian grabbed my suitcase from the van, and we went inside.

“Did you bring the invitations so we can address them?” I asked.

“They’re already done, babe. I dropped them off at the post office before heading up here.”

“What?” I furrowed my brows. “How did you do that already?”

“I had a little help from my brothers.” The corners of his mouth curved upward.

“You are amazing.” I wrapped my arms around him. “Thank you so much.” I pressed my lips against his.

“Hold on a second,” Simon said. “Where’s Mom and Rose?”

“My mother is spending New Year’s with Mark,” Sofia said.

“And your mother is spending it with someone she refuses to tell us about.” I smirked.

“Did she say where she and this guy are going for New Year’s?” Simon asked.

“No,” Emilia answered. “We tried to get it out of her, but her lips are staying sealed.”

“She’s not stupid, Simon,” Grace said. “She knows if she told us, we’d tell you, and you’d have a tail put on her.”

“Damn right, I would. We aren’t taking any more chances with these shady guys she keeps seeing.”

“She did say that in due time, she will allow us to know,” Julia said.

“Charlotte, do you know who it is?” Simon’s brow arched.

“I do, and you know damn well I can’t tell you. But I can say that I think it’s a good situation.”

Simon’s eyes narrowed at her. “I guess I’ll take your word for it.”

“Thank you, Simon.” Charlotte smiled.

Christian

It was New Year’s Eve, and everything was perfect, except Grayson and Gabriel weren’t here to celebrate with us. Their flight was canceled due to a snowstorm. It was almost midnight as we all sat around the living room with our drinks in our hands. Handing my drink to Charleigh, I grabbed my guitar as the countdown began.

“Happy New Year!” We all shouted as the clock struck midnight. I began strumming Auld Lang Syne (Happy New Year) as we all sang and wished each other a Happy New Year.

“Happy New Year, baby.” I smiled as I kissed Charleigh.
