“And you!” Simon pointed to Aunt Barb. “I cannot believe you let them keep this from us.”
“Oh please, son. Did you really think the girls would let your buying motorcycles behind their backs go? You know what strong women they are.” She smiled.
“How did they plan this without any of us noticing?” Stefan asked.
“Kind of like you all planned and bought motorcycles without them knowing,” I said.
“Wait a second.” Shaun pointed at me. “You had to have known about this because you would have had to give Charleigh the time off from the hospital.”
“Bro, you knew and didn’t tell us?” Conner asked.
“Yeah, I knew. And I couldn’t tell you. Just like Charleigh couldn’t tell the girls about the motorcycles.”
“Fair enough,” Jackson said. “Let them go have their girl’s trip and get it out of their system. We’re all here to help with the kids. Don’t forget, we’re a village and take care of our own.”
“But I’m going to miss Charlotte.” Conner pouted. “I don’t want her to go away without me.”
“Aw, you’ll be okay, brother.” I hooked my arm around him. “You can spend the nights at my house.”
“What if something happens to one of them, and we’re not there?” Nathan asked.
“They’ll be fine living their best lives without us.” Stefan looked down.
“You boys need to stop it right now.” Aunt Barb laughed. “You are to go home and help them pack and tell them how much you’re going to miss them. You will not be mad, nor will you give any attitude. You all brought this on yourselves when you bought the motorcycles behind their backs.”
“Like I always say, every action has consequences.” Rose smiled.

Iwas leaving the hospital when my phone rang, and Charleigh was Facetiming me.
“Hey, beautiful. I miss you.”
“Hello, handsome. I miss you too. How’s it going?”
“It’s going.” I smiled as I walked out of the hospital. “I’m heading to Shaun’s after I go home and change. He had to work from home this week since taking the twins to the office was more trouble than it was worth.” I laughed.
“You’re such a good cousin.” She smiled. “I just wanted to see your gorgeous face. I got an email that the wedding invitations were delivered. When you get home, Facetime me so I can see them.”
“I will, babe. I love you.”
“I love you too. Talk to you soon.”
When I arrived home, I climbed out of the car, and Nathan walked over, holding Nicholas.
“Hey, little man.” I smiled as I took him from Nathan’s arms.
“How was your day?” Nathan asked as we approached the front door.
“Good. Back-to-back surgeries always make the day go by faster.” I smiled. “Can you grab that box for me?”
“Sure.” He bent down and picked it up. “Are these the wedding invitations?”
“Yeah. Charleigh wants me to Facetime her when I open them so she can see them.”
We walked through the front door, and Nathan set the box on the island. Handing Nicholas to him, I opened the box and pulled out one of the invitations. I stared at it as my heart started racing.
“Um, who are Jessica and Jarod?” Nathan asked.
