“Mine too,” Emilia said.
“I’ve rescheduled my patients for after New Year’s,” Charlotte spoke.
“Jenni, how the hell did you rent a chalet on such short notice?” Shaun asked in an irritated tone.
"I have just as many connections as you do, babe." She reached up and kissed his cheek.
"Are you taking the private jet?" he asked her.
"Of course, we are.”
“I wasn’t made aware of this by my pilot.”
“That’s because I threatened him if he told you.” She grinned.
“Who’s taking care of the twins?” Sam asked. “I have work, and Lucas is on vacation.”
“You’ll figure it out, sweetheart.” Julia smiled as she patted his chest.
“I have Lily, so all is good. Have fun, babe.” Stefan smiled at Alex.
“Lily is going with us, and so is Ella,” Alex said.
“Huh?” Stefan said. “Wait, I have to work, Alex.”
“You’ll figure it out, Stefan.”
“And you, Mr. Corporate Hotshot, will have the twins all to yourself.” Jenni smiled.
Shaun ran his hand through his hair. “At least I have Laura.”
“Oh, didn’t I tell you? I gave our nanny the week off. She won’t be coming back to us until after the new year,” Jenni said.
“At least we have Mom,” Simon whispered in Sam’s ear.
“I heard that,” Grace said. “We’re taking your mother and Rose with us. It’s one of our Christmas gifts to them.”
“Sofia, I have—”
“You’ll figure out what to do with Nicholas, babe.” She grinned.
“Did you know about this?” Nathan pointed at Ella.
“No! I’m so excited. I’ve never been skiing!” She beamed with excitement.
“I can’t believe you girls did this without telling us!” Sam shouted.
“Oh really, Samuel?” Julia cocked her head.
“Bro, let it go,” Sebastian said. “This is payback for the motorcycles.”
“Charlotte, my love, when will you be returning?” Conner asked.
“We’ll be back the night before New Year’s Eve and head straight to the cabin.” She smiled.
“We’ll see you boys at home.” Emilia smiled as she and the girls left Aunt Barb’s.
“I cannot believe this.” Shaun shook his head.
