“I stumbled on it a while back. I like to come here to clear my head.”

Spencer could see why. The sound of the rushing water was peaceful, and the area around the waterfall was so serene. It was like a hidden sanctuary in the midst of the woods, away from the chaos of the world.

After a moment’s hesitation, Spencer kicked off his shoes, stripped away his socks and shirt, then shucked his jeans and dove into the water.

The coolness of the water was a shock to his system, but it felt exhilarating against his sweaty skin. He swam around for a bit, enjoying the feeling of weightlessness, before resurfacing to catch a breath. Luka was sitting on a boulder nearby, watching him with a smile on his face.

“You coming in?” Spencer asked.

Luka stood and pulled off his shirt and pants, revealing his chiseled body. Spencer felt his cock harden at the sight of him. Luka walked over to the edge of the pool and dove in, the water rippling around him as he resurfaced.

They splashed around for a bit, laughing and enjoying the refreshing water. Spencer squealed and tried to swim away when Luka came after him then turned in the water when he didn’t see Luka anywhere.

“Luka?”

The guy broke the surface right behind him. “Right here.”

“God, how did you sneak up on me like that?” Spencer asked. “I didn’t see you anywhere in the clear water.”

“I’m a water ninja.” Luka laughed then went back under, only to come up by the rocks.

Eventually, they made their way back to shore and sat on a boulder, basking in the warmth of the sun. Luka handed Spencer a towel from his backpack, and Spencer dried himself off.

“Thanks for today,” Spencer said, looking at Luka with a grateful smile.

Luka grinned. “I enjoyed spending time with you, Spencer. You’re different from those I usually deal with.”

“Deal with?”

“Hang out with.” Luka dried himself off, but Spencer had a feeling there was more to it. Since he didn’t know Luka, he let it drop. It seemed Spencer wasn’t the only one with secrets.

“Can we do this again?” Spencer asked as they got dressed. He hated that Luka was covering up his amazing body.

Luka smiled at him. “Sure thing, Spencer. I’d like that.”

Spencer felt his heart flutter at the way Luka said his name. It was almost like he could feel the ghost of the man’s lips on his own. He shook his head, trying to dislodge those thoughts.

“Ready to hike back to the cabin?” Luka picked up the towels and stored them back in the bag then tossed the backpack over his shoulder.

“Swimming wore me out.” Spencer was not looking forward to the long-ass hike back to the cabin, but unless he sprouted wings or Luka pulled an ATV out of his pocket, he had no choice. Only the walk would be worse because the water had made Spencer sleepy.

“It’s great exercise,” Luka said. “But I get the same way. After a swim, I usually take a nap.”

There Spencer’s mind went again. He imagined curling up next to Luka and taking a nap with him. Oh hell. Who was he kidding? Spencer was imagining them naked and doing the most wicked things on that couch.

Or in the bed.

Bent over the kitchen table.

On the damn porch.

Spencer really needed to stop thinking about having sex with Luka.

As they made their way back to the cabin, Spencer tried his best to push those thoughts aside. He didn’t want to ruin what he had with Luka by making a move too soon or by coming on too strong. But the more he tried to suppress his desires, the harder they became to ignore.

When they reached the cabin, Spencer collapsed onto the couch, feeling exhausted from the hike and the swim. But he was proud of himself for hanging in and not whining about his legs or feet killing him or about the sweat that had poured off of him. The central air felt damn good as he rested.

Luka sat next to him, a concerned look on his face. “You okay?” he asked.
