With a low snarl, Eleazar pulled Andrew into his arms and thoroughly kissed him, his tongue probing at Andrew’s lips for entrance. Andrew opened, and holy fuck, the kiss had his dick hard in seconds.
Then Eleazar jerked away from Andrew, taking a few steps back, his fangs on full display. He was breathing heavily as he stared at Andrew. “I apologize for my behavior.”
Eleazar didn’t look sorry, and neither was Andrew. In fact, the vampire looked as if he wanted to do it again. Throwing common sense out the window, Andrew closed the distance and pulled Eleazar in for another toe-curling kiss, something he’d been dying to do since meeting the guy.
Another growl and Eleazar took over, wrapping an arm around Andrew’s waist as he yanked him impossibly closer and devoured his lips. God, the guy was such a good kisser. In that moment Andrew didn’t care that Eleazar was a vampire. He just never wanted the kiss to end.
But it did. This time Eleazar eased his arm from around Andrew. “We really should stop, little one.”
“Why?” Andrew was so dazed that he didn’t tell Eleazar that he hated that endearment.
“Because I have an overwhelming urge to sink my fangs into your neck.”
That confession was like ice water being spilled over Andrew. As hot as he thought Eleazar was, and as much as he wanted to kiss him again, he wasn’t opening a vein for the guy. “Right. Do you, um…” Andrew cleared his throat. “Do you think your guys will find Zach soon?”
He didn’t want to think about what Chainsaw might be doing to Zach right now. Andrew had to force his thoughts aside, or he might break down again. It had been embarrassing enough to cry in Eleazar’s arms. He didn’t want a repeat performance.
Eleazar cupped Andrew’s cheek, and damn it, Andrew was suckered right back in by the guy’s touch. “He will be found.”
Hadn’t Felix said that Eleazar kept his word? Andrew hoped so because he wasn’t sure what he would do if Chainsaw killed Zach. “Thank you for looking for him. You didn’t have to do any of this.”
“You are my servant,” Eleazar stated. “I look after you just as much as you look after me.”
Andrew hadn’t been looking after Eleazar all that much. Aside from a few duties, the vampire didn’t need him. It was as if Andrew had simply moved into the guy’s house and been granted all kinds of perks for doing mostly nothing.
Not that he would complain.
“Regardless, thanks.”
With a nod, Eleazar walked out, leaving Andrew standing there aching. He’d never wanted anyone the way he wanted Eleazar. Andrew was starting to think that keeping his distance was futile.
* * * *
It had been two days since Eleazar had sent his squad to retrieve Zach, and Andrew hadn’t heard one word. Every time a phone in the house rang or someone arrived, Andrew’s heart raced. He felt like time was running out, yet he was helpless to do anything but wait.
After playing the waiting game, Andrew was ready to go stir-crazy. He’d tried countless times to call Zach, but the call always went to voice mail. To make matters worse, Andrew was stuck in his room. So far Eleazar hadn’t told him he could explore, and being stuck in a room when you were used to keeping busy was the most frustrating thing.
“Fuck it.” Andrew opened his bedroom door and stuck his head out. No one was in the hallway. He wanted to see Eleazar. The vampire had avoided him for two nights, and enough was enough. It was just a couple of kisses. It wasn’t as if they’d slept together. Eleazar needed to get over it.
Taking a deep breath, Andrew stepped into the hallway, looking around for Eleazar’s coven. So far, he’d only met Shayde and, unfortunately, Maximus. But he hadn’t seen anyone else. Sonny had confessed to Andrew while he was cleaning that he was human and that he didn’t mind feeding some of the men in the house.
Not that Andrew would judge, but he didn’t see how Sonny allowed anyone to feed from him.
He slipped down the hallway, as if he could go undetected in a house filled with vampires. Andrew stopped, holding his breath when he heard two people talking. He couldn’t make out what they were saying, but he wished they would move on.
Slowly, Andrew continued until he reached the stairs and quickly descended them. He didn’t know exactly what he was looking for, but he knew he wanted to find Eleazar. He rounded the corner and stopped, blinking a few times so he could look around the massive living room. So many people, milling about, talking in low whispers.
Holy fuck. Andrew had been worried about running into one or two vampires, but now he was standing in a crowd of them.
Andrew narrowed his eyes when he spotted Eleazar in the corner, talking with a few other vampires. His dark hair and eyes stood out in the sea of pale faces, and Andrew’s heart raced a little faster at seeing him.
Eleazar’s head slowly turned, and he looked directly at Andrew. Oh shit. Andrew was frozen as the vampire stalked toward him then stopped directly in front of him. Eleazar grabbed Andrew’s arm and said something in a language he didn’t understand.
Andrew jerked his arm back. “What did you say?”
Eleazar’s gaze flicked away, his hands making fists at his sides. “You are not supposed to be out of your room.”
Andrew frowned. “I just wanted to see if you had any news about Zach.”
