Blake could hardly argue with his logic. They hadn’t known each other very long. And he was saying he wanted to give it a try. What more could she need to know? Well, one other thing. “Do you have feelings for me? Not just as Ciara’s caretaker?”

“Yes. I told you that.”

“No, you didn’t. And you haven’t touched me at all lately.”

“We kissed in the TV room.”

“Twice.”

He rolled his eyes. “I have been trying to let you know I was not just after your body but that I want to know you as a whole person. Isn’t that what women are always complaining about?”

A small grin. “Yeah, I guess. But it is also nice to have both.”

“Why, Ms. Sheehan. Are you saying you want me to sneak into your bedroom at night and do sexy things with you?”

Blake felt her face flush, and no doubt he saw her cheeks turning red. A split-second later Morgan had crossed over to her and was squeezing into the chair with her, lifting her onto his lap, his strong arms around her. As he devoured her mouth, Blake could hardly believe how good it felt to be in his arms again and relished the way his tongue dove in, dancing with hers, claiming her, exploring her.

His hands went to the hem of her tee and lifted it over her head. She had no bra on tonight, so Morgan feasted himself on her breasts as she threaded her fingers through his hair, holding his head close to her. She turned and set her thighs outside of his and rocked against his hard cock that she could feel through his thin shorts.

God, she was ready to come and they had barely gotten started. As if he could tell, Morgan grabbed her butt and pulled her tighter to him as his pelvis ground against her clit. Blake breathed out her orgasm, holding back a shriek that would wake up Ciara.

A low chuckle in her ear, and Morgan said, “Tell me you’ve got a condom in your rooms.”

“Actually, I do.” She climbed off him and led him to her bedroom. Opening the drawer in her night table, she took one out of a box.

His eyebrows lifted. “Were you expecting company?”

“I was hoping this guy I like would take a stroll down the hall some night.”

Morgan grinned at her and tore off his T-shirt and shorts. Blake had the condom ready to go, then after dropping her own shorts, started crawling onto her bed.

He grabbed her hips before she could get away and stopped her on her hands and knees at the edge of the bed. Standing behind Blake, he slid his shaft inside her.

“Deeper,” she murmured, pressing back against him. He leaned forward, his arms around her waist, and began slamming into her. Blake did not think she would orgasm again so soon, but the last time she had sex with Morgan he did that to her, bringing her to climax over and over. And tonight they reached the sky together again and again. At one point Blake wondered if she was the one who was hooked on having sex with him and wanted his body rather than taking the time to get to know him.

But a couple hours later when they cuddled in her bed, silently holding each other, she knew it was more. He stayed most of the night with her, did not seem to want to leave. She fell asleep in his arms and was awakened when it was almost dawn and he planted a kiss on her forehead before sneaking away back to his room.

“You two seem different,”Ciara said, glancing back and forth between Blake and Morgan. It was Thanksgiving morning and the three of them were taking a walk through the woods on one of the nearby hiking trails, enjoying the crisp November weather.

Blake knew the perceptive girl would see it sooner or later. Over the last week and a half Morgan had visited her bed every night. They made love and talked about everything and anything and the bond between them was growing stronger.

Unsure of how to handle this, but feeling bad about deceiving Ciara, Blake exchanged a look with Morgan, her eyebrows lifted in question.

He grabbed Blake’s hand and said, “Yes, Ciara, Blake is my girlfriend now.”

Ciara shrieked in delight and hugged Blake. “Is Blake going to be my mom for real now? Are you two going to get married?”

Morgan went pale and almost catatonic. Not a good sign. And certainly not the response Blake was hoping for.

When Morgan seemed unable to get an answer out, Blake stepped in. “We have to see how things go. We didn’t want to tell you because if things don’t work out we would not want you to be disappointed.”

“Why wouldn’t it work out?” Ciara blurted. “There couldn’t ever be anyone better than you, Blake. I know you make my daddy happy and I can tell he loves you.”

Oops. The L word. Blake caught a glimpse of Morgan’s frozen face and would have laughed if it were not so insulting. Typical of her role, she attempted some damage control. “Well, nothing can be decided until the custody case is settled. So, we have to wait for—”

“Daddy, you said it was over!” Ciara ran at him and started punching him. “You said Fawn could never take me away!”
