Vaughn groaned.
Kian pursed his lips together and nodded at him before turning back to his car. “Righto.”
I squinted at Kian, who was trying very hard to busy himself. Then over at Vaughn who was standing as far away from me as humanly possible without running across the yard screaming. I pinned him with a glare. “What the hell, Vaughn? You were all over me like a rash and now suddenly you’re embarrassed for Kian to know what we were doing?”
He shoved his hands in his pockets and stared at the ground. “That’s not it.”
But it was. Obviously. Irritation flickered inside me. “And you!” I pointed at Kian. “You reek of jealousy. Please don’t forget that you were the one who rejected me last night.”
Kian opened his mouth, probably to argue that in the end, it had been me who’d walked out to go play with my vibrator, but that was only because he’d put the brakes on in the first place. I wasn’t about to lie there, begging him. I held a hand up, cutting him off. My cheeks flamed hot, and suddenly I’d had quite enough of both of them. “Stop. I don’t want to hear it. I’m going upstairs.”
Vaughn took a step to follow me, but I whirled and glared at him. “Don’t even think of following me after that. Either you want me, Vaughn, or you don’t. I’m not going to be anyone’s dirty little secret.”
I got upstairs and slammed my bedroom door. I went straight for the bathroom, locked both the door to my room and the door to Kian’s, and then stood in the shower for an obnoxiously long time, washing off every trace of chlorine and Vaughn’s fingers.
I was irrationally annoyed. Mostly because I was horny.
By the time I dragged myself out of the shower, the bathroom was full of steam. I traced an immature message onto the mirror for Kian to find and went back into my room.
Fang was sitting on my bed.
I stopped in my tracks. “Hi!”
He gave me a soft smile. “How you doing, Pix?”
God, the man made me happy. As soon as I laid eyes on him, all my frustrations with Vaughn and Kian melted away. I tucked my towel beneath my arms and sat next to him. “Better now you’re here. But I thought you were helping War with club business?”
“Vaughn texted. He said you needed me.”
I raised an eyebrow. “Did he say what for?”
Fang smirked and ran his index finger along the edge of my towel. “His text was pretty specific, actually.”
I was sure my eyes went wide. “It was not? Show me!”
Fang unlocked his phone then handed it over.
I practically dove on it but stopped before I hit the message icon. “You don’t want to like, delete a whole bunch of stuff? Tell me not to snoop in certain places?”
“I’m an open book, Pix. You want to know something, just ask me. You don’t have to go through my phone.”
“I wouldn’t do that,” I assured him, not wanting to seem like a jealous psycho girlfriend.
He inhaled the freshly washed scent of my hair. “Wouldn’t care if you did. But look at the message Vaughn sent me.”
I leaned against him and rested my head on his shoulder while I opened his messages. True to my word, I ignored the ones from War, Queenie, and a host of other names I recognized as guys from the club. There were a few I didn’t know as well, but I figured if he hadn’t told me who they were, they either weren’t close friends or weren’t my business.
Vaughn’s message thread was at the very top, the most recent message Fang had received. I tapped it and read the message, my face pinking with every word. “I’m going to kill him.”
Fang chuckled and took the phone back. “Why? Did he lie? You aren’t horny as fuck and need some dick?” He could barely contain his laughter.
I groaned. “If that was all he’d said I could have handled it. It’s the rest of the message that’s bothering me.”
Fang leaned in and kissed my neck. “You don’t like that he sent me a blow-by-blow instruction list of everything he wanted to do to you?”
“Yeah, that.”
Fang drew his tongue up my neck. “I think it’s kind of considerate of him to think of your needs and want them fulfilled, even though you won’t let him do it himself. Why exactly are you not letting him do it, though?” His tongue swirled around my ear.
