Schedule:

Monday Mornings: Start of New Week

Tuesdays: Privilege Challenge

Fridays: Elimination Challenge

Sunday nights: Live Elimination

Rules:

The Deceiver may not inflict bodily harm to the other contestants in the house.

The Deceiver will be informed of their status by their wrangler Monday morning of their week.

The winner of the Elimination Challenge becomes the new Head Deceiver effective immediately after the Live Elimination on Sunday of the current week and holds this position until after the Live Elimination, one week later (e.g., the winner of week two’s elimination challenge will be Head Deceiver during week three).

The Head Deceiver is exempt from participation in the Privilege Challenge unless participation is required to balance teams. They will be exempt from any punishment should they be on the losing team.

The Head Deceiver is exempt from participation in the Elimination Challenge and is safe from elimination.

The Head Deceiver will have access to their own private quarters and may invite whomever they wish into the room.

All house guests will wear the provided outfits during any and all challenges.

The punishment for the losing team on the Privilege Challenge will be effective immediately following the challenge and will last until the end of the Live Elimination of the same week.

No person will be exempt from the punishment of their team and cannot be assisted by any member within the house or production with said punishment.

“I’m confused, which one?” I ask.

“The outfits one? What type of clothes are y’all going to be putting us in?”

“That’s really more for safety. A rock-climbing wall was involved one year, and one particular dumbass fought us tooth and nail to not have to wear the safety harness because he was a ‘trained climber.’. It’s a liability thing,” I say.

“What about number six? That’s the only one that mentions production.”

Fucking Madison.

“There was this wrangler, Madison. She was way too nice and when her contestant came crying to her about the fact she had to clean or something, Madison ended up helping. Needless to say, the next staff meeting was not fun. After that, they banned us from entering the house at all, except on rare occasions.”

Charlie laughs slightly and I pass her back the notebook.

“I’m sure you have all sorts of good stories.”

“There are quite a few, but I won’t bore you with them all today.” I check my watch. “Let’s get you to your physical. It should be the last appointment you have.”

“Are you ready?” Courtney asks. A ball sails past her head and smacks into the deep blue wall behind her. She doesn’t flinch an inch. This is normal in her life.

“As ready as I’m going to be. I’m currently trying not to throw up.” My legs are tucked under me on the bed and I try not to look at the clock every five seconds.
