An hour later, we arrived at the cinema and entered the theater. Harper had chosen a romance movie, "Midnight Sun," and I happily indulged her. The film ran for over an hour and a half, and afterward, we made a stop on our way back to the hotel to get some snacks before continuing the journey.

"That was a great movie," Harper declared on our way back, still wiping the tears from her face.

"I think it was a bit cringy and ordinary. Certainly not great."

Harper rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on! It was sad."

"To you. Not me. It was just an ordinary love story, nothing more."

"Whatever," she groaned, taking out her phone from her pocket. I kept my eyes on the road, stealing glances at her occasionally.

"We are officially trending as a couple," Harper said, lifting her eyes from the phone. "Your fans now know my name, and they have been sharing different pictures of me online," she said, returning her gaze to the phone and wearing a sour look.

"What are the comments like?" I asked. I could tell she was reading them by the expression on her face. Harper remained silent for a moment, her brows furrowing.

"It's usually wise not to read the comments online," I reminded her gently.

"I know. I was just curious," she replied, her voice tinged with uncertainty

"Is it bad?" I probed, sensing her unease.

"Some of them," she admitted, her eyes downcast.

"Are you okay?" I asked, concerned.

"The show is over, Logan. I told you, there's no need to pretend you care when we are alone," she mumbled.

I scoffed. "You are right. I got too into character. My mistake."

Harper took off her seatbelt and quickly exited from the vehicle. "Good night," she said, slamming the door shut, and I watched her go.

I climbed out of the car and made my way to the entrance. As I reached the entrance, Carl appeared seemingly out of thin air, joining me with a smile. "Logan," he greeted. "How did it go today?"

"It went okay. There have been more updates about us," I responded.

"I know. I have been following up on you guys," Carl took out his phone, showing me pictures of Harper and me on different social apps. "You guys are like the latest hot couple in the city, and everyone is talking about it."

"Yeah," I muttered.

"Do you want to go to the bar with me to celebrate?" Carl asked.

"Nah. I'll pass. I'm tired. I think I'll get some rest. Besides, I have to practice tomorrow evening."

"Are you sure? You can always take a break."

I bobbed my head. "I'm good. Thank you."

"Alright. I'll see you later."

"Later, then," I bid Carl goodbye and continued to my room.

Instead of my room, I suddenly found myself standing in front of Harper's door.

My worry for her lingered, and I couldn't resist the urge to check in on her. I raised my hand to knock when the door suddenly swung open, and Harper emerged. "Why are you here?" she questioned curtly.

"I wanted to inform you that we are going shopping tomorrow. I have to get something, and it would be a good idea if we went together."

"Okay," she said, but I still didn't move. "Do you need anything else?" she quizzed.
