He knew he’d been dismissed, but he shouldn’t be taking her away from her job either.

“Talk to you later.”

He kissed her and walked out. At least he was in a better mood than he was an hour ago.

Fancy Doctor Boyfriend

Two weeks later, Daisy walked out of his bathroom with a dress on that made his heart stop in its tracks.

“Holy shit,” he said. “Every brain cell I’ve got just flew out of my head. Are my eyes popping out? Tell me they are and that would explain why I can’t think of anything else with the way you look.”

She did a little twirl for him and laughed. “Your eyes look just as gorgeous as ever,” she said. “Though they’ve gotten dark enough that I’m sure I know what you’re thinking.”

“What? That I want to strip you naked and say screw this party?”

The last thing he wanted to do tonight was drive to New Haven for a Christmas party, but he knew he should attend. More so since in a few weeks he’d have office hours there.

No way he was going alone though and was thrilled when Daisy said she’d love to be on his arm.

Now he wasn’t so sure he wanted to bring her, though he was positive he was going to be the envy of every man there.

She had an emerald green dress on. Not bright that would make her stand out, darker hues, but not black like so many might wear.

It was fitted to her body like a glove and showed every curve she had, stopping right at her knees. She had nude pumps on her feet and he was guessing nude stockings and no underwear unless it was a thong because he didn’t see any lines when she turned.

The thin black belt at the waist just accentuated how fit she was even more.

There was a scoop neck and three quarter sleeves.

She was wearing a silver necklace with a bold black stone that had multiple colors flashing through it. Some greens were there for sure. On her wrist were a few silver bangle bracelets. One he noticed had a daisy on it. She almost always had a daisy piece on her somewhere and he found that he liked hunting for it likeWhere’s Waldo.

On her ears were dainty roses with little diamonds inside. He had no idea if they were real or not, but it didn’t matter.

She knew how to dress herself for the full effect and not overdo anything.

Her hair was styled with loose waves on the ends and pulled away from her face, hanging down her back. Her makeup was minimal and had her looking fresh. Classic. That was what came to his mind.

“Now that I could get on board with. But I told myself I had to look the part to be on the arm of my fancy doctor boyfriend.”

“There is no part you need to look and now I’m not so sure I’m worthy of you.”

She moved closer to him, her hand going for his purple and gray tie. He had a lavender shirt on with his dark gray suit. There were faint black pinstripes, but the gray was so dark you couldn’t see them unless you were up close.

“Please,” she said. “I’ve never seen you in a suit. Not like this. And can I say woozers?! Talk about wanting to strip someone naked.”

He laughed. “I guess we are quite the pair, aren’t we?”

“We are,” she said. “How come I didn’t know you could look like this? I’ve seen you somewhat dressed up in your office.”

“There is no call for me to look like this in the office. No one dresses up much anymore for day-to-day work.”

“I know,” she said. “In my job never, but I have to say I have enjoyed getting ready for you tonight.”

“Not as much as me. Are you ready?”

“I am,” she said.
