"Plans for the day?" He asked, still stroking the arm she had draped across him.
"Same as every day, Pinky," she said dryly.
He sat up as much as he could without disturbing her. "Did you just quote Animaniacs?"
She laughed and buried her head in his chest. She looked up at him and the smile on her face settled in him. "I did, I must be hopelessly uncool."
"I like it... keeping it old school. And I will gladly be the Pinky to your Brain. I'll take over the world with you."
"Unfortunately, today is just work. I should already be in the shower by now, so I can eat my bagel and drink my coffee and be at work by eight. I'm kind of a creature of habit."
"I like it. Go shower and get ready for work and I will see what I can do about breakfast, but... if you had time..." he said, pulling her face to his for a kiss and sliding his hand down to squeeze her generous ass.
"As much as I would love to, I have a plumber coming to fix the sink in room three. I need to get in, but I could be persuaded to get out of there a little early, maybe show you the waterfall before we go to my brother's cookout. If you still want to do those things, of course," she added the uncertainty of finding her face again. He had a visceral need to make that uncertainty disappear, she needed to know how badly he wanted to spend time with her.
"That sounds amazing, and maybe we can sneak in some time for a quiet lunch together in my room," he said, wagging his eyebrows at her and giving her ass a little spank to make sure his meaning was not missed.
"I think that can be arranged," she said, reaching her mouth up to kiss him. "But right now, I need to go take a shower." Wrapping the blankets around her, she pulled them off the bed and made her way into the bathroom, the blankets trailing behind her. Liam was disappointed not to see her naked body as she left, but when she turned and looked at him, now fully naked and uncovered, she cocked her eyebrow. Putting his hands behind his head, he stretched out for her. Her eyes perused his body slowly and she bit her bottom lip.
"You sure we don't have time?" He asked as he stroked his cock that was already hard.
"You’re not playing fair. I have to get to work. I'm already off by..." she glanced at the clock. "Oh my god, I'm off by twenty minutes and my morning routine is down to the minute. I gotta go." Then she disappeared down the hallway. Liam smiled to himself and got out of bed and started getting dressed.
After he was dressed, he headed down to the kitchen to see what she had for breakfast. Cereal boxes lined the top of the fridge, he opened it and was a little surprised at what he found. It was bare. Eggs, expired milk, shredded cheese, a long-gone bag of salad, lunch meat and condiments. He did find some bacon that looked good. Eggs and bacon it was.
Out of sheer curiosity, he opened the freezer. He found it packed with frozen dinners. This is not what he was expecting, but he needed to stop expecting things from her. She was a constant surprise at every turn. From their meeting in the diner when he had assumed she was a fan and finding out she knew next to nothing about him, and now this. At work she was the put together, no-nonsense boss, who apparently eats only Lean Cuisine.
That's it. He was going to spend the next couple days spoiling her. First, he would make sure she knew that this was only for this weekend because it had to be, but then he would spoil the hell out of her, just because he could. And he would enjoy every fucking minute of it. Right now, it was bacon and eggs. He got that going, got the coffee going and popped some toast in the toaster.
Lexi came into the kitchen right as Liam was setting the food down at the little kitchen table. He handed her a mug of coffee and pulled out her chair.
"Thank you," she said with a smile. Looking down at her plate she smiled. "This looks great. I didn't think you could have toast."
"I can't have toast, but that doesn't mean you can't," he said as he was bringing over his own plate to join her at the table. "I know we are on a time crunch. Do you need any help getting ready?"
"Nope, after we eat, I should be able to make it there only a little later than usual, but in plenty of time to beat the plumber."
As they ate, he looked around her place. It was almost like a time capsule from the early 90's, like nothing here had even changed. He hadn't had much time to look around last night, he was a little preoccupied with the dirty things he wanted to do to her. But in the light of morning, he could see this house for what it was, a museum. A worn-down museum of life in the 90's. That must have been the last time this delightful woman in front of him had anyone take care of her.
His fingers itched to start contacting people to have her house made over. He had done a show with HGTV. He could call in some favors, but he should probably learn more about her. That was his priority today. He was going to learn as much as he could about her so he could spoil her in the best way possible.
"Ready?" she asked as she pushed back her chair and walked her plate over to the sink.
Lexi pulled up to the inn and parked in the back.
"Okay, why don't you get out and walk in and then I’ll go in ten minutes? Or maybe I should go in since I'm already later than I normally am. I don’t want to raise suspicion," she said looking at him with a careful look on her face.
"We don't have to do this. I'm not ashamed of spending the night with you," but as he spoke those words, he remembered what being involved meant and what being involved with him had cost his past partners. That was something he refused to put on Lexi, he wanted to make her life easier not complicate it further.
"As much as I appreciate that, and I do," she said, reaching for his hand. "I'm still the boss, you’re a guest, and while there are no official rules on the books, it does seem unprofessional."
"Right, well you head in. I’ll walk around and enjoy the grounds. I have some work I really should stop ignoring," he said, pulling his phone out. "But first, put your number in here."
"Why?" She asked as she tentatively took the phone from his hands.
"So I can have your contact information, in case you haven't realized I'm quite fond of you, Lexi...." he said as he tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "I don't know your last name or if Lexi is short for anything."
"Alexis Turner," she said breathlessly, her lips parted slightly.
