I hate that he has a point.

“It’s fine. Let me try. Killian had me locked up at that house since he snatched me from Brickstone’s campus,” Rion says.

And he gets it out with no issues. Which means this worked!

“There’s not much to tell about my time there, but I do know where two of his other homes are.”

Yes. Yes!

“You do? Oh, yes!” I pull him into a tight hug, his tentative hands wrap around me.

“We should get right on this. Assuming your information isn’t a trap,” Aksel says.

“I’ll get you the info,” Rion says to Aksel then looks down at me. “What now?”

He tucks a piece of hair behind my ear, letting his hand rest there.

I smile. All the guys in the room are standing around awkwardly, but I’ve never felt happier than being surrounded by them all.

“You’re staying. This is your journey as much as it is ours. We need your help and the best place for you is here. If you want to,” I say.

I know Griffyn and Felix are okay with it. Not so sure about Aksel and Blaze.

“Even if this wasn’t the only place in the world I want to be, I have nowhere else to go. So like I said before, I’ll be here as long as you want me.”

My heart melts.

I chance a glance at Aksel to see him grinding his teeth and staring at Rion’s hand like he’s going to remove it from my body.

Felix steps in before things can escalate. “Griffyn and I can share a room or Anna can give hers to Rion since she’s never in there anyways.”

He’s right. I’m always in his or Griffyn’s. There’s no reason I need a room here. Now, in my permanent home, I could use some space but this is only temporary.

“Rion can have mine. All settled,” I say.

“You can’t possibly think we are going to have him stay here,” Aksel finally says.

I move over to him and go for sweet instead of feisty. He seems to respond well to me being a good girl.

“Please Aksel, he needs revenge like I do and he has information and insight. I trust him and the weaver has removed any outside influence.”

He stares into my eyes, weighing up his options. I see the moment he gives in when his blue eye softens.

“Fine.”

“Thank you!” I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him before he has a chance to react. I quickly pull away so he can’t reject me. The shocked look on his face is priceless.

Rion

Anna shows me up to her room and starts bundling her belongings up while I look around.

“You can leave your stuff here. It’s not like I have anything to fill the space,” I say.

Damn, did that sound pathetic?

“Oh no, this is your space now. And we will get you stuff to fill it,” she says.
