All rational thought flew out of her mind as she reached down between their bodies to help guide his cock deep inside her. The sheer size of him threatened to overwhelm her for a moment and she gasped, holding her breath until her body became more accommodating.

That’s when she felt it, the pure release of her wolf within her, the way the beast seemed to accept her even as she accepted Ray inside her.

Then, she started to roll her hips back and forth, biting his bottom lip with delight when she heard him begin to growl with pleasure all over again. Bodies trembling together, they moved as one.

Their sex was wild and animalistic, thrusting hard and fast, scratching at each other with their fingers, and Macie relished the pain of her claws protruding from her nail beds.

Several times they rolled over in the leaf litter, taking it in turns to give pleasure to the other, and Macie felt herself cumming over and over again. For the first time in her life, she felt the urge to throw back her head and howl at the moon.

And so that's just what she did as she straddled Ray for the last time, cumming along with him as he gripped her hips and pulled her down to him, spilling his seed deep inside her.

Chapter 6 - Ray

He should have known better. That was the first thing that Ray thought when he awoke in the woods, alone, the next morning. Rolling over in the leaf mulch with his arms spread, he felt for the warm feminine body that had been pressed against him for most of the night. But she was gone. And when he opened his eyes, it took them several moments to grow used to the fresh dawn light that filtered through the canopy above his head.

His teeth gritted painfully as the memories of the night before came rushing back to him. Watching Macie shift had been overwhelming, not just emotionally but physically. It had taken all he had in him to remain in human form, to watch her shift into the beautiful black wolf without joining her, determined to keep his head on straight. But that hadn’t lasted long.

He barely remembered how he had managed to come to find himself curled up around her when she shifted back. All he had known was that she would need to be comforted, that after the first shift, it was almost impossible to control the waves of emotion that surged through your body, and he couldn’t bear the thought of her having to go through that alone.

Now, looking back at it, he couldn’t stop from thinking of just how beautiful she had been in her wolf form. Jet-black glossy fur that seemed to shine like a starry night sky. Storm-grey eyes that blazed back at him, filled with the emotion of her first change. And though he had managed to stay in his human form, Ray had indeed been overcome by his own emotions.

He remembered now all too well why the pack joined together for the first shift of a new pack member. It helped them all bond, helped the new member feed off the entire pack’s strength. Macie hadn’t had that. She had only had him. And now, he wanted to keep it that way. The possessive streak he suddenly felt towards her was nothing compared to his remembering what they had done after she’d shifted back the night before.

If they had done things as they were supposed to do, if Macie had shifted in front of the entire pack, there would have been no way in hell they could have slept together. The Silverdales wouldn’t have let a McCormack anywhere near one of their own. Besides, there were others far more suited to being her mate, others who would likely have fought to have the chance to call her their own.

And yet, here he was, lying in the forest with the smell of her all over him. And when he closed his eyes, he could still see how beautiful she had been as she had straddled him, working her hips back and forth as they fucked like he had never fucked before.

Fuck! No! He yelled inwardly, mentally shaking himself. There was no way he could allow himself to think about it again. Just the thought of it made his cock begin to harden and without her there to rectify the situation, it simply didn’t feel right. It can’t happen again!

Forcing himself to his feet, he decided it was probably best to forget that anything had even happened between them. After all, it couldn’t exactly go any further than it already had.

Shaking himself, he threw off his human form and allowed his wolf to spring forth. The need to run was so strong that it was impossible to ignore and so, he ran through the woods, trying to let off as much frustration as possible before sneaking his way back to the patio where he had left his clothes the night before.

Luckily for him, there didn’t appear to be many others around. In fact, he didn’t see anyone around right up until he reached his pile of clothes and was beginning to shift back to human form.

The voice that sounded across the garden took him by surprise. “Hey, Ray! What’s with you missing breakfast?”

Having just pulled on his pants, Ray turned to find one of his younger brothers walking towards him across the patio.

“Like hell I’m missing breakfast!” Ray snapped back at him. “I just went out for an early run is all.”

Ryan paused a few meters away and eyed him with his arms crossed over his chest. “Okay, it's not like you to get up and do anything early. What’s up?”

The way his little brother cocked his head to one side was quite infuriating. He was far too much like him for his own good, and Ray wished that he had taken after one of their other brothers. Maybe then he wouldn’t have even noticed that something was up.

“It’s nothing,” Ray said through clenched teeth, but the look on Ryan’s face didn’t falter at all and it was clear he didn’t believe him one bit. In order to stop from looking at his brother’s stupid face, so much like his own, Ray pulled his black t-shirt on over his head. The moment he had done so, he regretted it.

Catching sight of his brother’s face again, he realized there was a knowing look on his face and the way his nose was wrinkling only made Ray feel worse. He had a feeling he knew exactly what Ryan was going to say even before he opened his mouth.

“You’ve been with a she-wolf, haven’t you?” he asked. Ray’s stomach twisted and his jaw clenched.

When his little brother took a step forward, his nose wrinkling again as though he was trying to decipher which she-wolf’s scent was all over him, Ray darted out and grabbed hold of him by the throat.

With a low growl, he hissed, “It’s really none of your fucking business.”

Ryan shoved him away, snarling back just as aggressively. The two pushed at each other for several moments, in a violent yet brotherly manner, and when they finally pulled apart, they were both breathless.

“Come on,” Ray snapped at his brother, getting him in a headlock. “We better get to the dining room before all the good bacon is gone.”
