Fixing the covers, he kisses the top of my head and walks out, closing the door behind him.

Chapter Fifteen

Lily

In the dreamy state between sleep and wakefulness, I snuggle in closer to the strong, warm body beside me. I let out a contented sigh at the feeling of my hair being petted.

“You make the sexiest sounds when you’re half asleep. I wonder what sounds you’ll make when I wake you up with my tongue lapping at that sweet little pussy of yours,” a gravelly voice says, making my pussy clench.

Mmm, let’s find out.

Wait, no! Snapping my eyes open, I sit up in a panic. “Where’s Iris?”

“In the cabin with Kat,” Darius assures me, handing me a bottle of water. “We’re about to land.”

“Ah, okay,” I say, taking a drink. Standing, I realize my nipples are visibly hard through the fabric of my dress. I cross my arms awkwardly over my chest as Darius watches with an amused expression.

He beats me to the door, opening it for me. “I’ll find out one of these days,” he whispers in my ear, and I try not to shiver as I brush past him to the bathroom.

“Hey, sweetie,” I say, kissing the top of Iris’ head when I return to the cabin.

“Mama, they have donuts!” she says excitedly.

“I can see that,” I say with a smile.

Pulling a wipe from my bag, I clean the chocolate off her face before I take a seat and buckle up.

The flight attendant appears with a tray of breakfast pastries, fruit, and other items. But more importantly, coffee.

“That’s the island of Sikinos,” Kat says, pointing out the window.

“Which island are we going to?” I ask Darius, blowing on my steaming cup and taking a sip.

“Naxos.”

“How am I going to get any work done—there’s so much to see!” I bounce with excitement in my chair, nearly spilling my coffee. “The Cortana. Portara. Apollonas Kouros. The cave of Zeus. The archaeological museum. The beaches.”

“There’s always next time,” Darius tells me with a smile.

“As long as I’m invited,” Kat pipes up.

“Let’s see if you earn your keep on this trip,” he quips.

She scoffs. “Wedding officiant. Nanny. Keeper of the candy. See how many hats I wear, cousin,” she says smartly.

“Which hat do you wear in your day job, if you don’t mind me asking?” I wonder.

“I’m a dealer at The Diamond,” she answers.

“I’ve never gambled,” I admit. “What’s it like being a dealer?”

“I help people think losing money is fun,” she says with a little laugh. “Dealing is actually more difficult than one would think. There are so many moving parts; payouts you have to tally quickly in your head. But it can be a lot of fun—like being the host of a lively dinner party, depending on the personalities of the gamblers and how much they’ve had to imbibe.”

“Mama, what does ‘imbibe’ mean?” Iris asks.

Of course she caught that. “Adult drinks,” I tell her.

Sorry, Kat mouths to me.
