“All legends are true.” Vic nodded.

“The Greeks?” Marnie asked again.

“All of them.”

God, I sighed. I waved my arms, getting the attention back to me. “That is not important now. What is important is that they escaped and we are pretty sure they came to this realm.”

“So, let me see if I understand.” Grayson cleared his throat. “There’s a parade organized by supernaturals probably in a plot against you all. All your sisters disappeared to different places to meet their soulmates that are probably not human. Pilar here is married to—” he choked looking at Vic.

“The god of the underworld,” Vic helped.

“Holy shit, the god of the underworld,” he said as his eyebrows soared. “And now the father you all killed is back from hell, which shouldn’t be possible, with a witch called Cassandra. Is that all?”

I shrugged. “Pretty much.”

Grayson pinched the bridge of his nose. “And I thought my biggest problem was falling in love with my assistant.”

Marnie stuck her bottom lip out, reaching out and caressing his cheek. “Ah, Gray…”

What else could she say?

My bed was going to be a problem. While it was comfortable, I wasn’t sure it could fit Vic. It was a human-sized double bed and I married a god with goat legs.

I sighed and kept changing the sheets, the old ones covered with dust after our absence.

“I should have done all of that while you’re gone,” Marnie said from the door.

I shook my head. “Why is there so much dust anyway? What’s up with this house?”

Marnie ignored my complaints and sat on the bed I just finished making.

“So you’re married.”

“I’m married.”

“To the god of the underworld.”

I nodded.

She whistled, chuckling a little. “Of all of us… I never pictured you married to… all of that.”

“Really? Me marrying death itself doesn’t make sense?” I arched an eyebrow, sarcastically.

She giggled. “I guess I didn’t think of it that way.”

I sat on the bed with her, taking her soft hands on mine. “I’m sorry you were here alone all this time.”

“It sucked being left behind,” she said in a tone I knew meant it was harder than she was letting it on. “I was so worried about you all and I’m useless with spells…”

“Don’t say that. You’re not useless.”

“Well, I guess I’m not anymore because I brought you back. And I think I can bring them all home.”

“How did you do that by the way?” I asked.

She smiled, excited by her powers for the first time. “My power is linked to you and Vic now. It just came to me literally tonight that maybe you were with your soulmate. And if that was the case, I could summon you because my power is linked to soulmates.”

“Clever.” I nodded.
