“Yeah, not much I can do about the weather, but the food is worth it. It’s pretty good,” she said. His stomach growled at the mention of good food. Maybe being cold was worth the trek over to the diner for some warm food.

“Here is your room key,” she said, handing over the card. “You are in room three twenty-five. If you pull your vehicle around back, you can access the elevators without having to use the lobby.”

“Thanks,” he said. He watched as she shoved the cash that he had just given her into her pocket and shrugged at him.

“For safe keeping,” she lied.

“Hey, I won’t ask any questions if you don’t,” he said. He walked back out of the lobby and ran over to the parked car. He pulled open the back door to find Jules sitting on top of Lucky, straddling his lap, kissing him like she was a starving woman.

“I see that you two kids worked things out,” Zan said. Seeing the two of them like that felt like a fucking punch in the gut, but he wasn’t about to get in the middle of what they seemed to have going on.

“We haven’t yet, but we’re working on it,” Jules said.

Zan jumped into the SUV and watched as Jules climbed from Lucky’s lap. “What the hell does that mean?” he asked.

“Well, Jules has finally admitted that she has feelings for me,” Lucky said.

“Isn’t that just great,” Zan grumbled. He sounded like an ass, but he just didn’t care. He wanted a shot with Jules and now, it looked like he wasn’t going to get one. “I hope you two will be very happy together.”

“Shut the fuck up, Zan,” Jules said. She turned in the seat to look at him. “If you’ll let us finish, you might learn something new.”

“All right, go on,” Zan agreed.

“I also told Lucky that I liked you too. He was right earlier when he caught me looking at you. You’re hot, Zan and well, I like you.”

“I see,” he said. He wasn’t sure what to do about her admission since he had just caught her straddling Lucky’s lap while kissing him. “Actually, I don’t see. You can’t want both of us, Jules,” Zan insisted.

“But I can, and I do,” she said smiling back at him. “You see, my brother Gabe is in a poly relationship. He’s with his wife and his husband.”

“That’s great for him, but I don’t like guys,” Zan said. “So, if you’re hoping for that kind of relationship between Lucky and me, you’re out of Luck,” he laughed at his own statement. “Um, pun intended.”

“Funny, man,” Lucky grumbled. “How about you finish hearing her out?”

“Go on,” Zan said.

“Well, Lucky isn’t bi either, so that kind of relationship won’t work for us, but I was wondering if you might be willing to share me?” Jules asked. Of all the crazy assed plans, this one took the cake. How the hell would he and Lucky share a fucking woman?

“You’ve got to be kidding, Jules,” Zan insisted. “How the hell would we share you? What, would Lucky get a night, and then, you’d crawl into my bed for a night? What happens if one of us gets jealous?” Zan could just imagine Lucky getting pissed off at him for having one on one time with Jules and wanting to beat his ass.

“We’d have to work all that shit out,” Lucky said. “I’m just not willing to lose my chance with her again, man. The only way she wants me is if you agree to there being an us.”

“How can there be an us?” Zan asked.

“Again, we’ll have to work all of that out, but I think that Jules is worth the trouble. The question is—do you?” Lucky asked.

That was a no-brainer for Zane. He more than thought that she was worth the trouble. He felt drawn to her as soon as he figured out who she was. For some reason, he knew that Jules would be worth all the trouble she’d give them. And he was sure that she’d give them both plenty of trouble.

“I do,” Zan almost whispered.

“Well, halle-fucking-luiah,” Jules cheered, making them both laugh. She sat back in her seat, seemingly proud of herself as Zan instructed Lucky to pull around to the back of the building. The parking lot was completely covered with snow, and he wasn’t sure how they were going to go anywhere in the next few days, but suddenly, being snowed in with Jules and Lucky held an appeal for him. He was looking forward to being snowed in with them both—for however long this storm decided to last.

Jules

Jules wasn’t sure how she had worked up the nerve to ask Lucky for what she wanted. She couldn’t stop thinking about either man and hell, maybe she had her older brother to thank for the idea, but it suddenly popped into her head—why should she choose between them? That was what would eventually happen, she just knew it. Zan was pushing her to admit her feelings for Lucky, but he also said that he liked her. When she realized that she liked him back, she wasn’t sure how to clear the clouds that suddenly filled her muffled head. Until the sun seemed to peek through those clouds and all she could think about was being caught up between both men at the same time. As she pretended to be asleep, those scenes played through her head, making her panties wet, and giving her the nerve to finally tell Lucky that she had feelings for him too. But there was a “but,” and it was a big one. She was sure that Lucky would think that she had lost her ever-loving mind, but he didn’t. He even seemed to be on board with what she wanted, if it meant that he’d get his chance with her.

They got into the hotel room and Jules was pleasantly surprised that it was a nice one. It had a little sitting room with what she assumed was a pull-out sofa, and a separate bedroom with a king-size bed. “One bed?” she asked. Lucky had the nerve to smile back at her and wink. “Jesus, you’re obvious.”

“Actually, we got the last room in the place. I didn’t ask how many beds we were getting. Hell, until I got back to the SUV, and you told me that well, this thing between the three of us was a possibility, I wasn’t even thinking about how many beds the room had.”
