“I love you so much, Liam. I have always wanted a family. And now, I not only get that, but I get to do it with someone I love. A true partner who I will be happy with and with whom I will be able to show our children the real meaning of love.”

He kissed her hard and quick in his own happiness.

“Me too.” He paused and gave her a sly look. “So, children, huh?”

She giggled. “Well, you said you wanted a big family, and I am definitely not opposed to that.”

“Good.” He pulled her into his arms and held her there as they looked out at the wilderness from the porch.

“So, does that mean you’re not going to find another job?”

She smiled against his chest. “Possibly.”

“I meant it when I said the clan takes care of their own. And I think you would enjoy not only running the roost but working with the clan itself. Like what you were doing before but having the flexibility you never got. Trust me, there are more than enough issues if you want to take some on internally to keep your day intriguing.”

“You think that would be okay?”

“Absolutely. I don’t doubt my sister may be one of your first projects.”

She laughed at that.

“What do you say about moving in finally?”

Emma pushed herself away enough to be able to look at him.

“Right now?”

“Well, why not? We’d already talked about it, and now you’re pregnant, and we did just confess our undying feelings to each other. Especially me sharing the mate part of it all.”

She couldn’t explain it, but she almost started crying from joy. Just the moment and everything falling together seemed to be too perfect.

“Yes.”

He kissed her forehead. “When we get back, I’ll help get your stuff moved over to the house.”

“It should be easy since I just went through everything. Apparently, a good house cleaning was all I had to do to get pregnant,” she joked.

“Fine by me. I don’t know if I could have waited much longer with you living away from me. After this week, I have gotten used to sleeping and waking up beside you. I don’t want to go back to the other way.”

“Me, either.” A thought entered her head. “What do you actually do as an alpha since you say the clan takes care of each other?”

“I mainly deal with our business to ensure our income, meet with my beta regularly, hold clan meetings, and take care of the clan by checking on things endlessly. Even dealing with other clans and trying to keep peace.”

“So, I would just be sitting at home being a good den mother?” She wasn’t opposed to it, but she also couldn’t see herself just sitting at home doing nothing, even with a child.

“Not necessarily. As I said, you could do community work, just inside our own community, and make house calls. Whatever you want without the worry of income. And the bonus is that if you needed to do anything, any one of the clan members would be more than happy to watch our little one, and they’d be more than safe.”

“I do like the sound of that. I just have never had so much free time.”

He chuckled. “Well, it’ll allow you to really go for what you want. As long as you’re happy, I’m happy.”

“What about raising the kids? I guess I never thought to ask about parenting, but since we are official and doing this together, I don’t want us to realize we have completely opposite ways of doing things.”

“I don’t think that’s going to happen.” His tone was so absolute that it made Emma curious.

“Oh? Why’s that?”

“Just that us talking about our childhoods, as well as what we want for our future and children, seem to line up pretty well. I think that’s a better start than most.”
