I smile, dropping into the seat at Sophia's side. "Honestly, I was trying to figure out how to approach you about something without coming across like an asshole."

Sophia's eyebrows raise as she gestures for me to keep talking. "I definitely need to hear this then. Please continue."

"It's been four days since the rose ceremony, and you haven't chosen to invite anyone on a date—either group or one-on-one." I shrug, a smile gracing my lips. Of course it is. How can anyone look at the two of them without smiling? "I wasn't sure if that was on purpose, or if there's something that we needed to broach with you ourselves..."

Sophia nods, her smile growing. "So, let me just make sure I understand this correctly. You want to go on a date with me, but because I've been spending the time getting to know all of you as a group, you thought you'd ask me without asking me?"

"I... uhhh..." I wrinkle my nose, thinking about it. That is what I'd done, wasn’t it? "Well, shit. I told you I was still trying to figure out how to ask without sounding like an asshole. Obviously, I didn't succeed."

"Don't let her fool you, Dylan." Chase throws his arm around her shoulder and pulls her back against him. "She's just teasing you. I think it was brave for you to ask her. That's a good trait in an alpha, baby."

Sophia shrugs him off with a roll of his eyes. "Like I don't know what kind of qualities I'm looking for in an alpha."

Damn. I really do want in on this relationship they have.

"You're probably right though. I should start doing some dates. Bree told me the same thing last night." She tilts her head, considering me. "You coming to me with your concern is almost enough to make me invite you on a date."

"Only almost?" I hold my hands over my heart and fake a gasp.

She laughs as she shrugs. "It's really too bad for you that Chase and I came up with some challenges for you all to complete to decide who all gets a date. If you'd come to me last night, you might've had a different outcome."

"Okay, but about these challenges..." They both shake their heads, telling me I'm not going to be able to get a damn thing out of them. It was worth a shot.

"Be outside on the deck in an hour, and you'll find out with everyone else." Sophia stands, leaning down to press her pretty red lips to my cheek. "You should definitely bring your competitive streak."

All I can do is laugh, shaking my head as I watch the two of them walking away hand-in-hand. She wants me to bring my competitive streak? I'll have no problem doing so. I just wonder what they have planned for us.

I guess I better go get changed into my swim trunks and get my ass to the pool if I want to know.

The challenges?

Apparently, it's to see who can make the biggest ass of themselves.

But I'm having the time of my life, as are our two judges—Chase and Sophia. The two of them are barely able to stop laughing long enough to "judge" us. The best part? This is only round one. They haven't told us what the other challenges would be, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

We've been split into pairs—plus one group of three, since we have an odd number currently— and given the chorus of a song that's all the rage with the kids right now. That's the saying, right? Fuck if I know. I just know it's on the radio all the time. Our task? To choreograph a dance—the more entertaining the better.

So, we're all working on dance choreography—even though I'm sure most of us don't dance—because the prize is worth making asses of ourselves. The pair that wins this first round gets a lunch date with both omegas. I still want to go on a date with just me and Sophia, but I won't turn up my nose at the adorable male omega.

I can't figure out if Sophia wants us to be interested in him or not, but since she's almost always with him. It's hard not to get to know him, and the more I know, the more I like him.

"C'mon, Dylan." Brooks elbows me, bringing my attention back to the task on hand. "I know it's hard to keep your eyes off of them, but we can't win a date if we don't get this worked out. It's ten minutes. We shouldn't have a problem with this."

I shrug. "Do you even know how to dance?"

He lifts an eyebrow. "Can you?"

"Hell, yeah, I can." I laugh. Brooks seems like good people, and I definitely need to talk to him more.

"I'm an ER nurse. The girls love that stupid app and are always teaching me dances when we have downtime. Something about having a hot alpha on their channel dancing, increasing their views or something." He shrugs. "So long as it's nothing too hard, I'll be fine."

I snort. "They're using you as a thirst trap. I love it. When we get out of here, I'm totally looking it up. When I'm somewhere I can write it down, you'll need to tell me the name of the hospital. Unless you know their username?"

"Yeah, that's a no." Brooks shakes his head. "Alright, since you like to dance, do you have some ideas?"

I do. Let's just hope the nurse can keep up. The omegas handed us a music device with the chorus already on them and two sets of earbuds attached to it. I toss mine in, listening to the chorus a few times as Brooks listens alongside me. It doesn't take long for me to get an idea.

Shutting my eyes, I run it through in my mind, and loving the way it looks, I grin. "Let's see if you can dance half as well as you think you can."
