"It's okay. I forgive you. I just wanted to stop in and see Chase before I head out for my date."

Liam's eyes skim down her body, and he lets out a whistle. "Damn, omega. Are you sure you don't want to stay in and cuddle with us—I mean with Chase?"

We all laugh as he steps back to allow us inside. He takes a deep breath as Sophia walks past him, dragging her scent into his lungs. I can't even blame him for it. Once he's shut the doors behind us, he gestures to the couch. "Ulf and Brooks, you can wait here."

"Uhhhh..." Brooks runs a hand over his head, looking hesitant. "I'd like to see Chase too if that's alright."

Liam makes a face. "I'll take Sophia in and see if he wants to see you. If he doesn't, you'll stay right there."

"Of course." Brooks nods, dropping onto the couch as if to show how well he can listen.

Liam hesitates, watching as Sophia slides into a room. "Thank you for what you did for Chase today. I know there's something between the two of you. We've already given him our approval if the two of you decide you want to bond, but that's also up to him."

Brooks's smile is soft as he nods. "Of course it is, and thank you. I was going to approach the three of you sometime soon about just that."

"Don't hurt him," the man growls, "or I'll hurt you."

"Got it."

Then Liam's gone, and I shake my head. "I'm kind of glad I don't have any interest in men. That's one guy I wouldn't want to cross."

"Really? You're afraid of Liam?" Brooks laughs.

"I'm not afraid. I'm cautious. He'd do anything for his pack."

"Yeah, he would." Brooks looks up at his name, smiling when Sophia gestures for him to join her.

"Sorry, Ulf. I'll only be another few minutes."

I shake my head. "Don't worry about it. Take your time. I'll be here."

I lean back into the couch as she and Brooks disappear. I'm in no hurry. If Sophia needs to spend some time with Chase before we head out, who am I to tell her no or to hurry? My job is to give my omega everything she wants. Sophia might not be mine yet, but I'm hoping that she will be soon. So until she tells me to beat it, I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure she has everything she wants or needs.

It's only about ten more minutes before Sophia reappears. I stand as she nears me. "All done?"

"I am. Thank you again. I feel better after seeing him. He's doing fine, by the way, and he wanted me to thank you for suggesting for us to stop by."

"Of course I did," I say with a small smile. "You needed to see him."

She beams up at me, and I'm practically putty in her hands. I want to be the one to put that look on her face again and again. Does that make me soft? Probably, but I also don't care. "Brooks is staying for a bit longer, but I'm ready."

"Perfect." We leave the suite, making sure the door shuts behind us. By the time we make it to the SUV outside, it's already 7:30. "I hope we won't lose our reservations by being late."

Sophia shakes her head as the driver opens the door of the small SUV. "I'm fairly certain that Tessa had the private room reserved for the entire day so we could go whenever we wanted."

"The joys of having money," I grumble, only feeling slightly bitter.

Sophia snorts. "Right? Though, I'm not one to talk. I have more money than I need, but I don't have time to spend it."

"I make more than enough money, but I don't make the kind of money I'd need to in order to reserve a private room for the entire day." I shrug. "I'm not even sure I'd want to make that kind of money."

"Well, if you end up with a big enough pack, there's a good chance that combined there would be enough money." She shrugs. "I don't recommend that being the reason you choose to look for a bigger pack though."

"You don't have to worry about that with me, darlin'."

"I like that."

"Like what?" I ask, sure I've missed something.
