Page 72 of Knot Their Reality

I don't know how much later it is, but eventually, neither of us can move. We fall asleep, exhausted, in one another's arms.

Wakefulness comes slowly.

I'm warm and comfortable. I almost don't want to wake up, but something pulled me from sleep. I blink my eyes slowly, letting the room come into focus. I'm in my nest. Huh.

I haven't fallen asleep in my nest in a while.

There's a grunt when I stretch, my elbow catching something hard.

That's when everything rushes back to me from the night before. I smile as I roll over, finding him watching me sleepily."Good morning, Sophia."

"Good morning, Chase. How are you?"

He grins, stretching before throwing his arm over me. "I feel amazing. You?"

"I'm feeling well-sated and well-used."

He laughs, cutting off when there's a thumping on the wall—or the door? Who knows. At least now I know what woke me up. He leans back to look at the door with a frown. "Who the hell is that?"

"It has to be Tessa or Bree. No one else would come knocking." I climb to my feet, wrapping a blanket around my shoulders. I glance back at him with a frown. "Cover up, omega. I don't want either of them seeing you naked."

A smug smile slides across his lips, but he does as requested and pulls a blanket over his lap. I press the green button to release the door and push it open. I find Bree standing there with a soft smile.

"Good morning, Sophia."

I yawn. "Morning, Bree. What's up?"

"We let the two of you sleep in so you've missed breakfast. The suitors are getting a little antsy without you."

I raise my eyebrows at that but shrug. "What time is it?"

"Almost noon."

I snort as Chase laughs behind me. "Damn, I guess we were tired. Ummm... we're going to need to shower. And all the covers in here will need to be washed. Two omegas together is a little..."

"Messy?" Bree offers with a laugh. "Don't worry. Just leave the door open. We'll get someone in here to replace all of the covers. They're all waterproof for just this reason. All it takes is a quick change out, and you'll be good as new."

"Thanks. We'll be out as soon as we can."

Bree nods. "I'll let the suitors know. They're all out back. Chase, Asher left me with a pair of your swim trunks so you don't have to go up to your room. I put them on Sophia's bed for you. The lunch buffet is already being set up out back so you should be able to find something to eat."

Chase calls out his thanks, and then Bree leaves us to get ready for the day. It should feel strange with Chase there as I head to the bathroom, but it's not. It feels... right. We shower together, but there's no hanky panky. The constant need that had been riding me yesterday seems to be sated for now. We wash one another in comfortable silence.

Within thirty minutes, we're heading to the back deck hand in hand.

As soon as we slide the door open, all eyes are on us. I nudge Chase in the side. "You'd think they never saw omegas before."

He throws his head back as he laughs. "Or maybe they're just not used to seeing two hot-as-hell omegas side by side."

"That must be it." Shaking my head, I drag him over to his pack mates. "Look, I've returned him safely and mostly the same."

Carson's eyes narrow as he looks between the two of us. "What I want to know is where your mate marks are." He yelps when Liam slaps him in the back of the head.

"Stop acting like an asshole to the omegas. Where their mate marks are is their business and not yours—unless they choose to tell you. I swear you're worse than a child." Liam straight up rolls his eyes, sending me into peals of laughter.

"I'm grabbing some food. Then I'll make my rounds to see how everyone is doing this morning." I turn to Chase. "Do you want me to grab you something too?"

He preens under my attention, something I love. "I'll come with you. Be right back." He kisses each of his pack mates before trailing me to where the staff is setting up the buffet. I make a plate of different cut-up fruit, just needing to get a bit of food in my stomach. Meanwhile, Chase piles his plate full.
