Page 112 of Knot Their Reality

It’s amazing to watch this kind of happiness unfold right before your eyes.

Ezra and Jackson are called up individually, each receiving a yellow rose and words of praise for their group dates, the mini-dates, and the one-on-one time she spent with each of them.

“Next, we ask that Asher, Liam, and Carson of Pack Lewitt join Sophia on the stage.”

Chase joins Sophia again while his pack makes their way to him. Chase beams at them, hurrying over to kiss each of them before returning to Sophia’s side. She gives each of them a big smile.

“To say that things are a bit complicated between us feels like... not enough. It’s always there, hanging in the air, and I hate it. Because of that, I’m not ready to ask you to join my pack—I don’t know that I ever will—but I’m going to keep trying. I’m working with Finn on trying to figure out why I’m having such a hard time letting go of this. In the meantime, I hope you’ll remain on the show and ask you not to give up on me. I’m trying, I promise.”

Brody hands her three yellow roses that she quickly hands to each of them. Before she can step back, Asher reaches out to cup her face in his palm. “You’re doing wonderfully, omega. We don’t expect anything from you except to love Chase. If you can never move past what happened, we won’t blame you. You’re an amazing woman who will always be in our lives in some way, and that’s enough for us.”

Sophia leans into his touch as tears streak down her cheeks once more. “Thank you. The three of you are amazing men, and it’s clear why Chase chose you.”

With that, the three of them make their way off the stage. Asher continues to smile, but it’s clear that her words hurt. Liam remains stoic as usual, but Carson’s shoulders slump as he follows his alphas. This seems to be hitting him the hardest, and I hate this for all of them. The situation they find themselves in sucks, but the three of them have my respect.

Knowing that Sophia cares for them but is unable to move past something that clearly wasn’t their fault can’t be easy. And yet, they keep trying. They have to share their omega with her, knowing that she’ll forever be a part of their lives but not knowing if they’ll ever have her. I’m not sure I could be as strong as they’re being if I were in their situation.

“The last suitor we have is Foster. If you’ll please join Sophia on stage.”

Foster is smiling as he climbs the stairs, and then when he stops in front of Sophia.

She puts her hands on her hips. “And what are you smiling for?”

“I’m just so happy to be here. Watching that moment with you, Chase, and Brooks is everything I want one day. Even if you don’t choose me when this is all over, it’s given me hope that it’s something I can find for myself.”

Sophia stares at him for another moment before shaking her head. “Damn it, give me the rose.”

Chase walks over and pulls a red rose from behind his back.

“Thank you,” she calls after him before she turns back to Foster. “You’re an asshole. You completely ruined everything I was planning to say.”

“I’m sorry?” he says with a laugh, but Sophia is already shaking her head.

“Don’t be. This is just one of the many reasons I’m choosing you today. You always make me laugh, and because we’ve talked about it in depth, I know that part of your humor is because you’re anxious. But there’s no reason for you to be anxious with me, Foster. I choose you now, and I choose you forever. I promise I’ll be here for you whenever you’re feeling anxious or if your emotions become too much.”

She lifts a hand to her face. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said all that. I know it wasn’t something you’ve talked about with others around. But I’m barely holding it together thinking about how anxious you must have been waiting for your name to be called and not knowing what color rose you’d be receiving tonight. I just want you to be as happy as you make me.”

“It’s okay, omega,” Foster says as he takes the rose from her before cupping her face in his hands. “I see you just like you see me. We’ll be there for one another as we make our way through our life. I’ll always be there to support you when you stumble or any damn time you need me. You are who I’ve been searching for my entire life, and I love you.”

By this point, they’re both crying, but they don’t seem to care as they kiss. It’s a sweet kiss that leaves me with a longing to find this for myself. I make a promise to myself then and there that I’ll stop putting work first. I’m going to work on finding my pack, and with any luck, an omega of my own.

When they break apart, Chase is standing there again. He offers a peach rose to the beta. “Sophia chooses you to be a part of her pack today, but I’m also asking you to give me a chance to get to know one another better. Would you be willing to go on a date with just me tomorrow?”

A smile stretches across Foster’s face as he nods. “It would be my pleasure, Chase. I look forward to it.”

When he takes the rose from Chase, he leans in and kisses the male omega softly.

Reginald is the one to break up the moment as he makes his way back onto the stage. “Sorry to interrupt, but I need to wrap this up so you can go celebrate with your new pack mates.”

Sophia grumbles a bit but takes Foster and Chase by their hands, moving to stand back with Brooks and Brody.

“Tonight has been full of heartfelt words, and Sophia has added two more members to her pack. We also have to say goodbye to one of our suitors tonight. Malik, it’s been a pleasure having you on Heated, and we wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors.

“And to the viewers, I hope you’ve enjoyed tonight’s episode of Heated. Make sure to check back next week so you can see what comes next for Sophia and her suitors. Goodbye and good night.”

There’s a moment of silence before the lights come back up and the suitors come over to say their goodbyes. Sophia and her pack make their way over as well, each of them offering me the best and a hug.

I might not have found my omega or my pack, but now I know what it’s like to be a part of something bigger than me. And now I know exactly what I want from my life. Now, I just have to make it happen.
