“What?”

She smiled. “I had it so bad for a while, but you didn’t seeme that way. Or so I thought.”

He was staring at her, his eyes dark with something shehadn’t seen in them before. Something she wasn’t sure she’d ever seen in him.“Blake...” Her name was a low husky word.

Her lips parted, remembering the feel of his on them.“Oliver.”

His mouth curved into a soft smile. “We should probably—”

He stopped talking as Blake leaned in, ever so slowly andclosed the distance between them.

She savored the softness of his lips and was thrilled whenhe pressed harder, a soft groan in the back of his throat. When she pulled awaymoments later, breathless and flushed, she couldn’t stop staring at how red hislips were now. “Sorry,” she said, not sorry in the least. “I...needed to dothat.”

He took a deep breath. “I’m sorry we stopped.”

She shook her head, confused by her own actions. “I justwanted to remember what it was like to kiss you.”

His dark-flecked eyes shimmered. “Was it as good as lastnight?”

She took a deep breath and met his gaze squarely. “It waseven better, Oliver.”

Lifting his hand, he curled it around her nape, tilting hishead as he drew her close again. This time, his warm tongue pressed between herlips, teasing her own. He took his time, taking her apart like an expert untilshe was panting, her pulse like rapid fire beneath her skin.

She broke the kiss this time, needing air.

Ollie’s smile was a mix of surprise and pleasure. “I wouldhave done anything to be with you back then.”

His words had an undercurrent of something serious that shesensed he hadn’t meant to say out loud.

She arched a brow, considering him. “Anything?”

“You have no idea.”

Oh, but she wanted to know. She wanted to tease it out ofhim with more kisses and find an excuse to get his hands on her.

Unfortunately, her phone rang. She cursed when she glancedover and saw who was calling.

“Sorry, I have to take this.”

He rose slowly to his feet and turned away, but not beforeshe caught the bulge denting the smooth line of his shorts. This was becoming ahabit.

She flushed head to toe with unbanked heat. Later.

“I should, uh...” Ollie stopped at the door and looked ather. “To be continued?”

“It better be,” she said picking up the call. “Hi, Gideon.”

“Blake. Why did I just get a call from Yara Bujold asking meif you work here?”

Shit. “I can explain.”

“Fuuuuuuuuuuck,” Bran groaned looking down at his tablet.

Before Ollie could ask what the problem was, his phone beganto ping. He opened his alerts and went ice cold.
