Once I reach my room, the guys are already waiting. I go over everything today and tell them the scholarship student is free rein now and to send a mass text. I am making her the prime target now for all the hurt and rage of the rest of the elites. We are better than the South side of the tracks. Now that the kings of Skystead have said it was okay, I know we will be seeing some claws come out.

Chapter Nine

Tonight is the game. North Warren versus South Warren. I smile as I get up from my bed and move to the little bag sitting on my dresser. I went to town the other day and found a reasonably priced shirt maker, who also makes jerseys and had one made with South Warren's colors of plum and gold with Romero done in plum across the shoulders.

The woman making it even gave me a hair bow that looks like a bunch of curls in the colors of gold and plum. I can’t wait until Blaise sees me in this. I told him I was always going to be his cheerleader and I meant that.

I just have to get through classes today and then I get to go back and change. I know the football team here will be all dressed in their jerseys due to the announcement last night, and from my own experience, I know Blaise and the rest of the team will be wearing theirs too in school.

I know this school couldn’t top our assembly that we have which is one of the funnest things the school has to offer. I was a cheerleader last year and as much as I hated that, I was a part of that group. I loved being front and center with Blaise.

Once dressed, I add a little gloss and some mascara. I love how the gloss highlights the plumpness in my lips and the mascara highlights my eyes. I don’t do too much makeup, but I smile while planning the makeup look for tonight.

The excitement I feel even though I am not in my old school, is overwhelming. This is going to be the first of the two big games this year and most of South Warren comes to the game. Including the kings. Which dims my spirits a little, thinking I may see Vince, but Damien will be there and I am sure Amir and Thiago too even though not many people know who they are.

As I make my way to the dining hall, I can feel the excitement in the school. People are talking and surprisingly everyone is wearing sky blue and silver of the school uniforms. Everyone is wearing their school spirit outfits and talking loudly and seeming to enjoy themselves.

By the time I eat and get to my first class, it becomes clear that I am one of the only people that literally is wearing my uniform. Even the other guys have t-shirts on that have their favorite players number on the back.

The announcement for the assembly comes out of nowhere and when I get up and leave, I start to follow the crowd. I am only ever in the gym for ballroom dancing. Once in there, I take a seat in the back in the middle. The headmaster of the school is standing in the middle of the floor, and I remember that he is Kingston’s dad. He has a smile on his face, but it doesn’t feel right. I can’t see his eyes but I’m sure that he is faking his cheer.

He announces that the assembly will take a few hours and that a chance to talk to the football players and mingle will be presented. All attendance is required. It is then that I notice the tables in the back lining the wall with subs and chips and waters.

There is more food being covered for the time being and I can’t help the face I make. My school basically throws a rave. Not my school anymore. My old school would have music pumping in and out and the football team would run out and the cheerleaders would show off their moves.

Here, it is a meet and greet which the headmaster promptly gets to calling the team. The guys run out and wave at the students with large smiles, all arms pumping in the air, talking about their predicted win for the night.

The last three names catch my attention as Loyal, Remington and Kingston are called out. They rush out and even I have to admit they look good in the jersey that does nothing to hide the muscles underneath. None of the guys are wearing their game pants but I can only imagine what they would look like with them on.

Once Kingston gives what he thinks is an inspiring speech, everyone is released from the stands to mingle and talk to the players. I snort, not wanting anything to do with them. I hope they fucking lose.

I do, however, move to the food, grabbing some fancy pasta and some salad and a ham and cheese sub roll with water. I watch the students moving around the players and talk to them and have to laugh at the way they boost their egos. The cheerleaders are even working on their routines, drawing a small crowd of horny teenagers. I laugh when I see how stiff they are. Their moves look more robotic than anything.

“What is so funny?” The voice has a hint of curiosity but mainly anger, I don’t even have to turn my head at this point to figure out who is there.

“What do you want, Kingston?” I keep watching the cheerleaders for a little, purposefully ignoring him, until my face is jerked to face him, and I see it’s not just him, it is all three of them.

“What is so funny?” He looks over to the cheerleaders before looking back at me. “Or are you too dumb to understand a simple question?”

Rage hits my system as I glare at him, yanking back from him. I snarl at him and for a moment, I watch his eyes flick to my lips before he quickly looks back into my eyes.

“Get away from me.” I move to scoot over when Loyal blocks me and Remington moves in front of me to block me from standing up.

“We haven’t heard your hopes for us yet, swamp rat,” Kingston says, looking at my lips. I turn to look at the other two and glare at them.

“She’s not even wearing her school colors.” Loyal points out before purposefully looking at the rest of the students. I point to my ridiculous sky-blue thigh high stockings. “Doesn’t count.” Loyal sneers.

Grabbing my face again, I actually try to bite Kingston. “I expect to see you in more of a school spirit tonight.” His eyes drill into mine and I try again to yank my chin out of his grasp. “I expect you to be there supporting the school and happily cheering for Skystead.”

“No.” I hit his hand and he lets my chin go but I refuse to agree to anything. “I will not be doing that.” I go to stand but Remington steps forward again, making it impossible to move. I am deciding if I want to climb the bleachers.

I can feel the anger in his voice, and it gives me chills. “Fine, princess. Have it your way.” Kingston stands as a cheerleader walks over and smiles up at him. The other two back off like his loyal guard dogs. I take the moment to flee. I don’t like that I liked how they smell, even worse, I don’t like how much my body turned on me when Kingston touched me.

The day was shit but now that I can look myself over in the mirror, I am grinning. I decided to wear the jersey with my old cheerleader skirt with my spanks. I throw my hair in the high ponytail with the hair tie that makes my hair bouncy.

I did my eyes in the plum and gold and did a light gold color with sparkles on my lips. White sneakers on and I finish my look.
