Rocky turned to Jax who was busy talking to Gia. She threw her head back and laughed at something he said. They seemed awfully comfortable around each other.

Just as we were all getting comfortable, the intercom sounded, calling Myles to the arena. He was placed up against some dude named Rudy. As expected, they didn’t even make it to round two before Myles laid the dude out.

As the fights went on, Gia started whispering to me excitedly. Telling me that if she won this fight then she’d officially be in the top twenty.

When my name flashed across the screen, my heart stuttered within me—not only was my name displayed across the screen, but so was Paisley Vinati’s.

Chapter 24

Myles

My eyes were glued to the purple-haired vixen as she confidently strode over to the ring and slid between the ropes. The way she rolled her bottom lip between her teeth told me just how nervous she was—even if she didn’t appear that way to the outside world.

The crowd grew quiet as they took in the two new fighters. I didn’t recognize her opponent, so she had to be new. Her hair was light brown and hung down to the center of her back even in the ponytail she wore.

The whistle sounded, cutting off my thoughts. Immediately, Aspen placed her hands in front of her in a protective stance. Even from here I could see the slight discoloration of her knuckles from where she beat the shit out of Foster earlier. When he told us that, we all died laughing.

Paisley said something to her, but her words were drowned out by the muttering of the audience as excitement filled the room. Aspen’s lip curled, indicating that whatever was said, was anything but friendly.

The brunette lunged forward at an agonizingly slow speed that even an amateur could have spotted from a mile away. Aspen was quick, dodging the attack and upper cutting her with an immense amount of strength I didn’t even know she possessed.

The crowd went wild as they cheered for my little dove, my dick stirring to life at the sight of her fighting back.

“Holy shit,” Collin muttered from beside me, his eyes never straying from Aspen.

I nodded my agreement, right as Paisley cupped her jaw and doubled over. Regaining her composure rather quickly, she was ready to continue before anyone had a chance to blink.

This time, Paisley stayed back and decided to wait. When Aspen realized that’s what she was doing, she took on the role of offense. Crouching, she sprinted toward the girl at a fast pace, knocking her shoulder into her abdomen and tackling her. The brunette released a shriek as she fought beneath my girl, punching and scratching at her sides and face, but Aspen wasn’t giving up.

Pinning her arms to the ground, she jammed her knee into the girl’s groin, making Paisley’s eyes bulge from the pain. As Aspen straddled her, the girl beneath her kicked and flailed in an attempt to get out of the mess she’d found herself in, but it was no use.

The crowd roared with applause, and I was certain this Paisley chick had never fought in her life. I’d never seen someone move so slowly and so predictably. Releasing her arms, Aspen cupped her hands around the girl’s throat and started to squeeze, the action making her slender arms flex.

Readjusting myself in my pants, I placed my elbows on my knees and leaned forward, anticipation slithering through me. I could picture the life fading from her eyes as Aspen hovered over her. Maybe she’d stab her to death with a knife and allow the blood to paint her skin.

Before the girl could pass out, the referee intervened and escorted Aspen back to her little group. The same group I would eventually obliterate. If Rocky thought he stood a chance with her, he was sorely mistaken.

Aspen Palmer was mine. Even if she didn’t know it yet.

Foster squeezed in beside me and leaned forward so that Collin and Hunter could see him. His face was more swollen than it had been earlier. “She doesn’t make it back to her room tonight,” he growled, bloodlust darkening his gaze. When he told us what happened, I was surprised that he didn’t hit her back. Maybe there were too many witnesses and he didn’t want it going around that he beat on women, who knows.

“Dungeon?” I questioned, arching a brow.

His mouth twitched and his eyes glazed over. “The torture chamber.”

I was more than willing to follow Foster’s instructions today. He was pissed about what she did to him earlier, and he wanted payback. Couldn’t say I blamed him. Not that he didn’t deserve it either, though.

“She’s with someone,” Hunter whispered, drawing my attention to the girl slipping out of the gym with Gia beside her.

A frustrated breath left me. I wasn’t opposed to taking them both. According to Hunter, we already had a spy and that could only be because of one thing. Aspen talked. For that, she deserved to be punished.

“I got it,” Collin offered.

“And if Raven’s in there?” Foster countered.

Hunter furrowed his eyebrows while he contemplated that. “Let me go,” he decided. “I can come up with some bullshit story or whatever. It’ll make more sense for it to be me.”

The three of us exchanged looks before nodding to Hunter in confirmation. He was right, If Raven was in there then she’d be less likely to question why Hunter’s there than the rest of us.
