Ripping open the driver’s side, I drove off without fastening my seatbelt because I saw Clark walking out the door, calling my name. Whatever the reason he wanted to stop me was, I didn’t want to hear any of this.
“What happened?” Theo asked confused, and moved around me to put my seatbelt on, the car’s warning system was beeping furiously.
“It was a mistake, I should have never come here.”
The road was blurry through my tears.
“I’m sorry, Kayden.” His hand laid on my shoulder while I drove way over the speed limit, I just needed a place to be alone.
“Can you call Autumn and tell her to tell Tillie I- I got a migraine and…” More lies.
“I’ll tell her to find you in your hotel room,” Theo reassured me and I nodded, this was something I couldn’t keep from her. All this time I had comforted her, and yet I was the reason her mother died that night.
So, that was the reason why Patrick told me not to come here, for once in his life he had wanted to protect me from something.

It hurt.
Every thought is a nail piercing through my heart.
Water flowed all around me on the floor of the shower.
All I had done, all that I knew was wrong.
I hated my mother for being scared.
I didn’t only lose one father, no, it hurt even more knowing that my real father was even worse.
The love of my life is going to hate me forever.
Make these feelings end.

His soul is broken,

I know and then I fall,
Hear my name in a plea,
It sounds like pain,
A scream of betrayal.
As my heart shatters,
