His minty breath fanned my face as his eyes locked onto my lips. “You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to kiss you,” Aidan said breathlessly as his chest rose and fell unsteadily.

I licked my lips nervously as I watched his gaze meet my own. My stomach was filled with heat, and my heart pounded in my ears. His ocean-blue eyes pulled me in and mesmerized me. I swallowed hard, trying not to break eye contact.

“Do it then,” I whispered.

His hand moved to my cheek, caressing the smooth skin. The roughness of his skin left goosebumps over my body as his hand settled on the back of my neck. He pulled me in, and his lips connected with mine in a flurry of heat and need. We were moving in sync. I let out a gasp as his teeth pulled at my lip before making contact again.

I couldn’t help myself. My hands moved automatically to his shirt, quickly unbuttoning it. His hand moved away from my neck, and he started tugging at the blouse tucked into my skirt. Within seconds, he lifted it over my head then unhooked my bra. He took a step back, removing his shirt and throwing it onto the hardwood floor.

His eyes stayed glued to mine. I unzipped the back of my skirt, letting it pool on the floor as I stood in only my heels and underwear. His eyes roamed over me as he stepped closer. His hands moved in slow movements up the curve of my hips, tingling heat followed his touch. His fingers moved around to the back of my spine, causing me to arch my back into him before he cupped my ass and lifted me onto him.

I instantly hooked my legs behind him as his tender lips kissed my jaw, working its way down to my collarbone. With each kiss, my head rolled back farther.

His ragged breath brushed against my ear. “God, Natalie. I’m going to kiss up and down every curve of your body.”

I’ve had guys promise me sweet nothings like this before, but with Aidan, I had a gut feeling that he would make good on his promise. I held my breath in anticipation.
