Now we were an hour later in the aftermath.
“Seriously, Jaxon, where did you throw it?” Layla laughed. She sat on the edge of my bed and covered her tits with her arm while she searched the floor.
I fanned my arm toward the closet and rolled over on my side. “Somewhere in that direction.”
She shoved my shoulder playfully. I watched her scan the floor, and she took a few steps in the direction I pointed to.
“Why are you worried about your boobs?” I chuckled. “I literally just saw you completely naked a few seconds ago.”
“It’s not the same.” She giggled nervously and turned around so she could strap on her sparkly red bra. She faced me once it was secured and walked around the bed to get her shirt.
I reached for her wrist and felt the familiar pull in my groin. My cock got hard under the blankets, and I pulled her back down next to me. I placed my hand on her face and kissed her softly. Girls always fell for the soft kiss shit.
“Ireallyhave to go,” she whined against my lips. “I have a paper due by eleven tonight.”
I kissed her again and let my head fall against my pillow. “You owe me another round.”
“Do I now?” she challenged playfully and stood up so she could pull on her jeans.
I got dressed in some sweatpants and a hoodie and watched her slip her sweater over her head.
I shrugged and ran a hand through my hair. “Yeah, you do.”
“And exactly when would this next round be?” Layla bit her bottom lip. She was hot and the kind of girl that didn’t have to try. The sex was good, and we connected well in bed. She wasn’t awkward or weird. Her dark blonde hair was still in loose curls even after our hookup, and her hazel eyes were bright against the makeup she wore. I stared at the freckles that danced across her nose.
“Whenever you want,” I answered, and we made eye contact.
She closed the space between us and placed her mouth on mine. It was the sign I needed to know that I could add her to my hookup list. Some compliments, joking around, and those soft kisses really went a long way.
It felt good to be in this familiar routine. Since I returned from break and reunited with Maci, I hadn’t slept with any girls or even tried to take them back to my place. Being here with Layla felt good. Not knowing what would happen next or if I would see this girl again felt natural.
“I’ll walk you out,” I offered. I opened my bedroom door and led us out into the hallway. There were no signs of life, and the apartment was awkwardly quiet.
“Your place is nice for living with all dudes.” She surveyed the area and stopped as soon as we closed in on the front door. “Most guy apartments I have been in are disgusting.”
“You’ve seen a lot of guy’s apartments, huh?” I kept my tone light so she knew I was joking. I wasn’t at that level with her where I could make comments like that and actually mean them.
She gasped and smacked me in the chest. “So what if I have! A bit sexist, are we?”
Her answer threw me off a bit, and my instinct took over. I knew I might lose her as a prospect.
“Just stating the facts,” I said more seriously this time. “I just met you today, and now here we are.”
Her mouth fell open, and she read my expression to see if I was being serious. I shrugged to try and lighten the mood. If I pissed her off just by explaining how our evening went, I didn’t want this girl coming here again anyways.
She searched her purse for her keys. “I’m not sure what to say to that.”
I stood there while she waited for me to say something back. When I didn’t move closer to her, she continued her thought. “Maybe we will run into each other on the weekend sometime and have that other round.”
I smirked at her and took a step forward. “I’ll see you around then.”
Layla gave me one last kiss, and as soon as she slid her hands onto my hips, the front door opened. Her mouth immediately broke from mine, and she spun around to face the doorway.
Bryson strolled in with Maci right behind him. Both of them were in swimsuits with towels wrapped around their waists. Maci’s eyes landed on mine as soon as she assessed what was in front of her. She didn’t show any emotion, but I knew from the look in her eyes that she wasn’t expecting to see me.
Bryson smiled. “Sup, man.”
Maci followed him down the hall to his bedroom. She completely ignored me the entire way there.
