Shelby turned her head and eyed all of our family and friends.
Because the wedding was small, we’d only had Chase and Tori stand up for us as best man and matron of honor, but everyone else was here. The Montgomerys, Savannah, my former Delta team, and Shelby’s entire family.
Shelby sighed as her eyes landed on her three cousins and her aunt. “I wish my cousins would find the right partner for them. I’d like to see them as happy as I am right now, and it would make Aunt Millie ecstatic.”
I chuckled. “I think they’ve all done everything possible to escape those matchmaking attempts of hers. I don’t think any of them are looking for a lifelong partner. They’re as jaded as I was before I met you.”
She turned her gaze on me, and my chest tightened up again as our eyes met.
“You found someone,” she pointed out.
I grinned at her like a lovesick idiot. “I did, so maybe it’s not impossible for the same thing to happen to them.”
“They just haven’t met the right women,” she insisted.
I groaned. “You’re starting to sound like Tori. She used to say the same thing about me.”
“She was right,” Shelby reminded me.
“She was,” I conceded. “But I don’t think matchmaking is going to help. I think they’ll find that woman when they’re not expecting it.”
“Do you think so?” Shelby said hopefully.
I shrugged. “That’s the way it happened for me, but today is your day, sweetheart. Areyouhappy?”
“I think you already know that I am,” she murmured. “Are you?”
I gave her a shit-eating grin. “I am, but I’ll be even happier when I can strip off that cock teasing dress you’re wearing.”
“Is that what it is?” she asked in a sensual voice.
“You know it is,” I accused. “I think you had it designed to drive me insane all day. You’re always beautiful, but you look especially beautiful today.”
“You look especially hot yourself, handsome,” she teased.
My hard cock twitched as I lowered my head until my mouth was near her ear. “What time do you think we can get out of here and start our extended honeymoon. We’ve eaten a fantastic dinner and the cake. There’s only one more thing I want to taste today.”
She raised a brow. “Me, too.”
Christ! Was she trying to drive me completely insane?
I lowered my head and kissed her, trying not to let the embrace get too heated in front of our entire families and all of our friends.
Her lips and mouth were sweet like the cake we’d eaten earlier, and my head swam from the taste of her mouth.
All I wanted was to get the hell out of here so I could take her home and show her just how glad I was that she was now my wife.
She looked dazed, happy, and hungry for something other than food when I finally let her up for air.
I nearly picked her up and carried her out of the venue.
“There’s one more thing you need to do today,” she said, sounding almost disappointed that we couldn’t start that honeymoon right away.
“What’s that?” I asked huskily as I toyed with a fiery lock of her hair.
“The music is starting. I think we’re going to need to dance, Prince Charming. I know it’s not your favorite thing to do, but it would complete this fairy-tale wedding,” she teased.
“Do you want to dance?” I asked.
