Page 74 of Forever Midnight

“Oh god, Midnight,” I whisper. “Fuck. So good.”

He pumps inside me, deep and forceful, and somehow I get hard again and come for the second time in just a few minutes. Midnight pulls off my neck, claiming my mouth in a kiss that can only mean one thing—forever.

I taste my blood on his tongue, but it doesn’t gross me out. It turns me the fuck on.

“Come inside me,” I whisper, dragging my tongue up Midnight’s stubbly cheek. “Fill me up with you.”

“Fuck.” Midnight grunts, his forehead creased with exertion.

“Do I feel good, mon prince ténébreux? Do I make your beast happy?”

Midnight grips my neck, holding my gaze, but his eyes are wild with feral passion. “You are everything, Tru. My everything.”

“You’re my everything too, beautiful vampire.”

He releases a breathless sob, wrapping his arms around me and throwing me back on the bed. He then proceeds to do as I ask, tearing me apart as he pounds into me. The sound of our skin smacking together, his grunts and my moans, is my new favorite song.

When he meets his release, it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced. His body tenses as a flood of hot cum rushes into me, filling me so deeply, I’d swear I can feel it seeping into every part of me. Midnight bites into my wrist, drinking again, his eyes fixed on my face as I grind against his cock.

“Yes, my vampire,” I whisper, nearly delirious now. “Take what you need from me.”

My eyelids flutter, my body trying to drag me into sleep, but I refuse to go. Through slitted eyes, I watch Midnight lick my wrist, then collapse against me. My body is sweaty and slick, but his is cool and it feels amazing.

Wrapped around me, he brushes my hair back from my forehead, dotting my skin with sweet kisses.

“What a gift,” he whispers. “I love you, Tru. Thank you for saving me.”

His words find the deepest broken part of me and heal it instantly. I saved him just as much as he saved me.

I give in to sleep with a smile on my face, knowing I’ve found my forever.

ChapterTwenty-Nine

MIDNIGHT

Asense of peace that has been notably absent from my life for centuries settles over me as I lie beside Tru watching him sleep. My heart beats harder than it has in years, reawakening a part of me I thought had died with Benedict. All my fears and hesitations are just gone. Erased by finding my mate.

As I stroke Tru’s hair, soothed by his rhythmic breathing, I allow myself to do the one thing I couldn’t before. I dream of a future. One filled with happiness and love and purpose, with Tru at the center of everything I do.

The idea that he may join me on my eternal walk, become what I am and be part of my family, is overwhelmingly beautiful. Why fate would be so kind to me is a mystery, but maybe it isn’t about me. Maybe it’s about Benedict and Tru.

My thoughts drift back to all the things Benedict told me. I laugh softly. I carried so much after his loss, but I can’t regret it. Not when Tru showed up. He’s worth every bit of it.

“Your thoughts are loud,” Tru whispers, his voice thick with sleep.

“You can hear my thoughts?”

“I think so.” His eyes open slowly as he stretches. “Or maybe you’re just giving off vibes.”

Carding my fingers through his unruly curls, I search his eyes. “I was imagining a future and letting go of the past.”

Tru smiles, tracing circles on my chest with his fingers. “Does it look good? Our future?”

“Oh, it’s perfect. Do you want to know the best part of having eternal life?”

“Yes.”

“I will never run out of time to love you.”
